Nestled in the stunning surrounds of the Blackbrook Valley and only a short walk from the well-connected village of Chinley, this semi-detached cottage offers a rural escape for couples looking to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the Peak District National Park's fantastic countryside, as well as enjoying easy access to its thriving towns. The living and sleeping accommodation are both ground level and offer scenic views of the Blackbrook Valley, as well as the Hope Valley and Castleton in the distance. The open-plan living space consists of a kitchen and dining area, as well as a sitting space with comfortable sofas and a TV. Outside the property is a pretty garden with a lawn bordered by plants and flowers, and furnished with a wooden swing seat, offering the perfect spot for guests to relax and watch the sun set over the picturesque valley below. Attached to the owner's property and situated on a working farm, this cottage provides a real rural retreat but with all the amenities of the village of Chinley only a short walk away. Chinley offers a number of pubs, cafes and restaurants, as well as beautiful walking trails and a train station on the Hope Valley line linking Sheffield and Manchester. The rural location of this property, combined with its fantastic travel links, makes it an ideal spot for couples looking for a peaceful base for exploring the Peak District National Park.
A lovely little village nestled in a wonderful rural setting, Chinley lies on the western edge of the Peak District National Park. Popular with walkers, who are attracted by Chinley’s close proximity to Kinder Scout, visitors are well-catered for with the village’s collection of pubs, cafes and restaurants. Serious walkers will wish to head east from the village, across the green foothills to the russet expanse of Kinder’s moorland plateau for a starting step onto the Pennine Way or Snake Pass. Families and those looking for easier roaming can venture west along the beautiful Sett Valley Trail towards New Mills with the Torrs Riverside Park, a peaceful place for recreation and relaxation. Within just a short drive are the picture-perfect High Peak villages of Chapel-en-le-Frith, boasting a cobbled marketplace and historic old stocks, and Whaley Bridge, with its canal basin and a good range of local amenities. Just a little further is Castleton, with its famous caverns and Norman Castle, as well as the popular spa town of Buxton, with its fabulous Opera House and Victorian architecture and park.
