The lodge is very well equipped however requires some me TLC the smoke alarm was beeping on entering the property and the bath panel is hanging off in the bathroom I called the number provided and left a message for someone to call me back or pop along and sort and nobody contacted me we had to take the smoke alarm down also the property was freezing cold as the heating was off and it took ages to warm up perhaps putting the heating on in readiness for guests would be helpful, there is no welcome pack with instructions on how to use things this made it difficult when trying to find how to use the heating, we couldnât get the TV to work apart from 1 channel this was probably down to the weather, these were only small issues they didnât detract from the enjoyment of our stay - I always book with Sykes and will continue to do so, but attention to detail is required

They didn't like the fan in the bathroom going off for ages, there was something spilt on the wall in their room and one bed felt wet. Bedrooms felt a little damp. Couldn't find the instruction booklet for washer/dryer. Shower room toilet cistern water continues if flushed intermittently. Lounge rug was rucked so we lifted the anti-slip net which seemed to be the issue. Apart from these minor issues we very much enjoyed our stay.
