A mecca for all things nautical, the famous annual regatta is a magnificent spectacle.

Absolutely loved the cottage and its stunning position so much to watch outside with boats of all sizes and styles plus watching people enjoying the water and beach . The two local pubs very friendly and had a lovely supper in the Lugger Inn. Handy to time the ferry to Fowey and spent hours watching sat in the handy window seat . Absolutely loved our time in Polruan

Amazing view from the window and fantastic location for Fowey passenger ferry and pubs. Car parking pretty complex. The instructions mention the Jam first cafe, which has been renamed (can’t remember to what 🤦🏻♀️) If you drive down to the bottom of the village, where East and West Street meet, try and park on the left to offload. It may or may not work depending on traffic situation at the bottom. Personally I’d travel light light and park at the top of the village and walk!
