About this property

Framed by tranquil lakes, woodland and unspoilt Cornish countryside, 6 Water’s Edge enjoys a prime lakeside position, just a short drive from the much-loved coastal towns of Looe and Polperro. With uninterrupted water views, private outdoor space and a peaceful setting, this refined lodge is an ideal base for couples, families and friends seeking space, scenery and easy access to Cornwall’s south coast.

Inside, the lodge feels light, spacious and thoughtfully laid out. The open-plan living area is designed for relaxed, sociable stays, with deep seating, a large TV and a welcoming wood burner that makes it especially appealing for cooler seasons.

The modern kitchen is fully equipped for effortless self-catering, whether that’s a laid-back breakfast before heading out or a cosy evening meal shared around the dining table. Large doors lead directly onto the private deck, where lake views take centre stage. Furnished for outdoor dining and quiet moments alike, it’s a lovely spot to unwind as the light fades, and the private hot tub adds a touch of indulgence, perfect for ending days spent exploring.

When it’s time to rest, two calming bedrooms await. The master bedroom is tastefully finished with a king-size bed, built-in wardrobe and dressing table, along with a sleek en suite shower room. A comfortable twin bedroom is ideal for children or additional guests, while the modern family bathroom includes both a bath and shower.

The lodge sits at the heart of the resort, with The Old Mill Bar & Restaurant just a gentle stroll away. Overlooking the lake, it offers wood-fired pizzas, relaxed family dining and signature cocktails, with friendly service and a warm, welcoming atmosphere indoors or out on the deck. Beyond the lakes, bridleways and woodland walks begin close by, while the South West Coast Path, sandy beaches and classic Cornish fishing villages are all within easy reach. Spend days exploring East Looe Beach, Talland Bay or Readymoney Cove, or venture further to the Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan and family favourites such as Adrenaline Quarry and Porfell Wildlife Park. With its peaceful lakeside setting, generous living space and standout hot tub, 6 Water’s Edge offers a relaxed yet polished retreat, perfectly placed for coastal adventures, countryside walks and memorable Cornish escapes in every season.

Lanreath is a village in southeast Cornwall, five miles west of Looe. Lanreath is rural in character with a local shop and Post Office as well as a parish church. There are a number of ghost stories associated with Lanreath. The best-known features a ghost in black driving a coach pulled by a headless horse. Nearby Pelynt is home to a parish church, a number of local shops and pubs, especially the Jubilee Inn, which was an original farmhouse dating back to the 16th Century. Looe is Cornwall’s second largest fishing port and hence there is always a lively maritime bustle around the quay area of East Looe, which is connected to the quieter West Looe by a seven arched 19th century bridge over the River Looe.

The lodge itself was cosy and homely yet very spacious. The food at the restaurant on site was delicious and we were grateful they did takeaway so we could enjoy the food in the lodge. The scenery and wildlife were gorgeous morning to night and having the deck to sit on and enjoy the views was one The lodge was well furnished and we found we had everything we needed, even the showers were impressive.

The central heating was good, but it would have been a lovely touch to have the additional comforts. The accommodation was otherwise lovely and was perfect for our holiiday. Our girls loved it (ages 4 and 6). Word of advice, bring DVDs and games. There were a few available, but choice was limited. Luckily we could access our netflix and iplayer accounts!

I've stayed at the site previously but in a different lodge and can say I will 100% be back, it was super cosy and comfy and being right on the lake was beautiful! The hot tub provided a perfect way to unwind on a cold winters evening! 100% recommend ✨️
