If you plan to eat in, rustle up a delicious feast in the well-appointed kitchen, and retire to the lounge to spark up the wood burner. For something a little different, the Lost Gardens of Heligan (2.5 miles) are worth a trip, while the world-renowned Eden Project is a mere 10 miles away. To see the coastline from new heights, hop onto the South West Coast Path and wind your way around the county’s cliffs, beaches and coves.
