This Cornish stone cottage is situated along a tranquil country lane, yet within walking distance of the world class beach at Carbis Bay and two miles from St Ives. Oak wood floors, wood burning stove and distant sea views. Reverse level accommodation so both the light and airy bedrooms are on the ground floor with the shower room. The first floor is open plan with the sitting area and dining area within the kitchen. Private and enclosed, the south facing patio and pretty lawned garden is an absolute sun-trap for lazy breakfasts, sizzling barbecues or an evening tipple. Discover the charming town of St Ives with its cobbled streets and alleyways lined with pretty cottages and a rich variety of art and craft galleries where you can watch artists at work.
Just a short walk from the heart of the town is the train station, where one of the most spectacular coastal journeys with breathtaking views from Carbis Bay to St Ives can be enjoyed. ..so we had to ring them as didnt want to get left with no hot water or radiators but was sorted that day .. not a problem but the milk left in the fridge assuming for us unopened was out of date on tbe 5th jan our holiday didnt even start until the 11th jan so thjought rather strange ...bit short on the cutlery. .and also found the washing .machine not very good had to put through several rinse cycles as very suddy still .. thankyou for our stay lynnette and robin

Towards the end of our stay there was a problem with no hot water/heating, but Sykes sent out an engineer straight away. Our only slight issue was that we found shards of broken glass over the rug in the sitting room and there was black dog hair on the duvet cover in the master bedroom.

It would be good to provide a cleaning spray so the guests can wipe the kitchen tops, table and the cooker. Also, please wash the blankets - they are not very fresh :/
