Topcliff Cottage in Teignmouth, Devon, is consistently praised for its cleanliness, modern amenities, and tasteful decoration. Guests appreciate the comfortable furnishings, high-quality equipment, and the property's prime location close to the beach, pubs, and shops. The small private courtyard and the view of the sea add to its charm, although parking can be challenging for larger vehicles.
Reviewers consistently mention that the cottage is very clean and well-maintained, indicating a high standard of cleanliness throughout the property.
The property is lauded for its ideal position in Shaldon village, with proximity to the beach, estuary, pubs, and shops, making it a perfect base for exploring.
Guests find the beds comfortable and the cottage cosy, though some note that the sofas are low and not as comfortable. The property is considered perfect for two, but may feel cramped for four.
The cottage is equipped with high-tech equipment, great beds, and a fabulous shower. However, the absence of a BBQ and the mention of limited toilet roll suggest room for improvement.
While the reviews reflect a well-appointed cottage with attention to detail, there is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the owner. Therefore, this score cannot be provided.

The pedestrian ferry leaves from Shaldon and runs throughout the day and early evening, so you can enjoy venturing over to the bustling regency seaside town and port of Teignmouth, which also offers a mainline railway station. Further afield, the delights of Torbay are within easy reach or if you fancy heading for the hills, Dartmoor National Park is around a half an hour's drive, as is the fascinating city of Exeter. The cottage was lovely very clean, tidy and well equipped A great position in the village with the added bonus of a parking space Peter and Jason were very helpful and efficient and a pleasure to deal with We would certainly recommend this cottage to family and friends Sadly our communications with Sykes was very poor throughput the whole process of booking Their subsidiary Helpful Holidays proved to be much better

Comfortable, well appointed, clean, great location for walking our dog and accessing the estuary, walks, wildlife and beaches. It also has an off road parking space.

Had everything we needed, plus more, including lots of information about places to visit which we found really useful! Clear instructions were available and great communication with the host. Would definitely stay again if in the area.
