Happy to recommend The Stables without reservation. Yes, I have marked it as only average for local amenities, but I chose it because it is away from everything! The property was spotless, comfortable and well-equipped, including access to sunloungers and a picnic table on a lawn for use of guests. The hosts, living next door, were very friendly and helpful without being in any way intrusive. The cream tea and bottle of Prosecco on arrival were very much appreciative. There is a very pleasant walk through fields and a bit of woodland immediately from the property and clearly several other local footpaths. Because the property is in a rural location, away from any light-pollution, the views of the stars on clear nights were amazing.The property is also well-located for days out to local beauty spots, and Minsmere nature reserve. There is a big shopping outlet not far away, with a large Tesco and an M&S, among several other stores, to keep stocked up with food.I was disappointed not to see the badgers that apparently live locally - I will be very happy to return and hope to see them on a future occasion!

Lovely. The owners live next door and greeted us on arrival, very helpful. Excellent location, beautiful views, easy to get to lots of attractions.
