House was very clean, well equiped and spacious. TV had all main apps installed (BBC iplayer etc) which is a plus. Great dog friendy beach just a short walk away.We did have an issue with the fence as our adult pug managed to get through to the neighbours garden. Fortunately the neighbour was home at the time and called over and allowed me to go and collect her. We were thankful this wasn't a far worse outcome. One of the reasons we booked is that this property is advertised as an enclosed garden which clearly was not the case. The fence was completely rotten in places and I found four areas with large enough gaps that both our pugs including our 6 month old puppy could have got through. There is even a note in the guest book written back in January 2026 that the fence needs fixing. When I informed the owner, they did send someone round the next day evening to make temporary repairs to these gaps.We also had difficulties getting the oven to work and eventually realised the clock needed to be set. There are at least two comments in the guest book going back to 2024 having similar issues with the oven and suggesting a note is left out, but again these comments were ignored as no note.

I feel the house is designed for younger people.1. The bath was very inviting but I could not use it because not able to get in and out2. shower unit down stairs? was a bit small no place to put stuff so needed to bend to the flour. ( soap, shampoo, gel )3. no shaving mirror?4 Parking a nightmare to turn round.5 no wardrobe in bedroom (ditch the mirror)6 Garden needs attention. It was a lovely house nice and clean and enjoyed the stay just a shame about the little things.Denis

The house was lovely, and in a great location. The garden was great and was very tidy, lovely for the dog. On the downside, I wouldn't bother with a hamper, as most of it looked like it was dragged from the back of a cupboard and was out of date!!!The bedding in the second bedroom was cheap and a couple of the towels needed replacing. We did have a nice break, but ditch the hamper👍
