Dornock Brow Cottage is a very pleasant place to stay. We visited as a party of five, three adults and two children aged four and seven. We also had our little dog who enjoy her stay tremendously., The location of the property is really good for having plenty within a short distance to keep everyone entertained and happy. There is a couple of supermarkets close enough to keep you stocked up on necessities without having to travel too far. The views from the property are beautiful and we were blessed to sit and watch a couple of amazing sunsets, right from the easy-chairs in the lounge area. There has obviously been a lot of thought put in to having everything you could need to feel at home for your stay. The only negative thing I could say is that the garden is not secure for smaller children and pets. The fence along the garden looking out over the water would be very easy to make for a great escape. One of our children has some differences in his needs and would have been through that fence given a second to do so and the dog would have been right behind! This made the garden unusable for us which is a real Shame as it is a gorgeous garden and would have been a real bonus for us to have been able to use it. We had a great stay and definitely would return and recommend.

Had many stays at Dornock Brow, this time my daughter got married at Gretna. We love this place such a beautiful view to sit and look at in the evening, watching the water come in and out and the birds in the garden. The garden is great for the dogs safe and secure. We find the cottage so relaxing just to chill out. The cottage is a good size with two bathrooms, with a large open plan kitchen, diner and lounge area and utility area.Close to Tesco and Aldi in Annan and a few miles from the Gretna shopping outlet. Plenty to do nearby by in all directions. I am sure we will be back again.
