Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen and helpful host. While some mention minor issues such as a lack of equipment instructions, tricky vehicle access, and a few maintenance points, the overall experience is highly positive, with many guests eager to return.
Multiple reviews highlight the cottage as immaculately clean and tidy, with no significant complaints about cleanliness.
The location is praised for its proximity to walks, Newton Stewart, and tranquil surroundings. Some guests note the access lane is uneven and a bit challenging, but overall the setting is considered a strong positive.
Guests consistently describe the cottage as comfortable, spacious, and airy. A few minor suggestions include better beds and blackout blinds, but these do not detract significantly from overall comfort.
The property is well-equipped, with a secure garden and good kitchen facilities. Some guests mention the lack of equipment instructions, minor maintenance issues (e.g., shower head, outside lights), and absence of a dishwasher, but these are outweighed by the positives.

Excellent place to stay, very clean and comfortable. The garden was great for the dog as very well enclosed. Lovely local walks nearby. Could have done with a microwave instruction manual, maybe a shelf or 2 in the bathrooms to put bits and Bob's on. Otherwise we had a great holiday and would recommend this cottage.

Brilliant place. Gorgeous setting the cottage is immaculate and well presented. Lovely enclosed garden space as well to enjoy the good weather. The location is perfect, right in the middle of woodlands and ideal for walking trips all around the area. Loved it!

Perfect location for walks, lovely dark skies , lane very uneven, bright torch needed for night dog walks. Very comfortable though beds could have been better. Very clean, but basic, brochure containing details of boiler, tv etc would have been useful. Smart tv Very tempremental Needs outside lights that work, downstairs shower head not working. Having said all that we will certainly return as dog friendly garden, and ideal for forest and seaside locations.
