Great location with super view of local wildlife in the Bay. We never even switched the TV on all week. When we were in the accommodation, we spent all the time looking out the window! It was very clean and largely well appointed with most things that you need for a comfortable stay. The only downside was the lack of a cooker although there was a microwave. It didn’t really bother us as we ate out as part of our holiday. We found plenty of Hotel/Resturant/café to be able to do that although pre-booking may be required. With the location being a 10 minute drive outside of Tarbert it is in an excellent location with very little passing traffic. There is no fenced garden, so dogs need to be on a lead at all times, but that’s no real hardship!

Peace and quiet, exactly what we were looking for, incredible views out to sea., Tarbert is an excellent base for seeing the rest of the island, gold road was an experience not to miss, not for the faint hearted!!!!!! The views on all drives were outstanding, beaches up west coast were incredible and a must see.Local shops including community shops are excellent with lots of local produce, if you feel the need Tesco is a 45minute drive to Stornoway in the north of the island.Biggest issue was no oven (they did warn us when booking) we took a shopping with us and had to rethink everything around Air Fryer, microwave and hob. Google is a wonderful thing to help adapt. Bear that in mind when you are booking. The facilities are excellent, the recliners in the summer room are the business, the bed is comfortable and heating keeps you nice and cosy when it gets wild outside. Would certainly book again.

Lovely place, very peacefull location. Tainted slightly by the house being done up across the road. Not a complaint as such as still so remote and as life must go on around us but did take away from illusion of solitude.
