Enjoying a fantastic location in the village of Talacre, nestled at the end of a cul-de-sac with easy access to the beach, is this contemporary property, Kerry Cottage. Finished to an excellent standard with off-road parking, spacious living areas and an enclosed rear garden, Kerry Cottage invites families for a first-class holiday to North Wales. After parking up directly outside the front door, head inside and walk through the open-plan living space. Immediately you will be drawn to the bi-fold doors that fill the space with natural light, looking into the spacious enclosed garden. The chef amongst the group can take over the striking kitchen, fitted with a host of integrated appliances that is sure to inspire home-cooking, whilst the rest of the group can sit at the breakfast bar and begin planning the holiday agenda.
After serving a tasty dinner, move over to the leather reclining sofa and take advantage of the wall-mounted Smart TV for your evening entertainment. On those balmy days, throw open the bi-fold doors to access the garden, from which you enjoy a drink at the patio furniture, top up your tan on the sun loungers or enjoy a soak in the lazy-spa hot tub. Talacre, a picture-perfect village, is located in Flintshire on Wales' north coast. The community, which is located just across the River Dee from the Wirral and the English/Welsh border, is well-known for its well-known beach. This dog-friendly beach offers plenty of space for tourists and kilometres of golden sand backed by dunes. You might even have the beach to yourself! The 1776 Point of Ayr Lighthouse is Talacre's most prominent landmark. There are two bars in the village, the well-known Point Bar & Restaurant and the Lighthouse Inn, as well as a post office with basic necessities. A Site of Special Scientific Interest (sssi) with an rspb reserve, the area around the beach, Gronant Dunes, and Talacre Warren is home to uncommon species such the natterjack toad, while the neighbouring Dee Estuary is a haven for wintering birds.

The house was lovely and warm, and is beautiful inside. Can fit 2-3 cars on the drive. The kitchen is perfect for cooking and hosting, thereâs plenty of space and the bedrooms are a decent size. Itâs nice that thereâs two bathrooms. You can have a bath or shower. Thereâs also shampoo and conditioner provided. Note: the water does seem to go cold quickly, so we had to leave some time inbetween us showering to make sure we had hot water. Thereâs a TV in 3 of the bedrooms and lots of wardrobe/drawer space. Plus the main TV in the living room. It is a 5 minute walk to the beach, an arcade for the children, a couple of shops and a bar/restaurant. Less than 10 minute drive from Prestatyn, where you have bigger shops, lots of coffee shops, restaurants and pubs. Would highly recommend Kerry Cottage.

The only let down for us was the shower. Water went from cool to scolding with tiny adjustments such so we didnât let the kids use it, also the door was difficult to open and probably needs replacing. That being the only downside as the rest of the property was really well thought out and a well equipped kitchen was so helpful.

Mod cons galore. Upstairs bedroom with balcony is simply gorgeous. Plush carpets and lovely bathrooms. Huge amount of cupboard space. Great garden, nice and secure for dogs. Lovely quiet neighbourhood. Perfectly situated for beach and dunes. Absolutely recommend this property. Only a couple of niggles if I'm being picky. Instruction booklet for appliances, heating, etc including local information and recommendations would be useful and also feels welcoming. Perhaps even a welcome basket which most properties now provide. Dish cloth, wooden spoon, another couple of pans perhaps. Cushions on sofa, but all in all a wonderful place.
