Step into the living/dining room, which has been tastefully styled with two leather sofas; here you can curl up, flick through the Smart TV and enjoy a family night in. Move into the kitchen, fitted with all the essentials for a short break, including an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine, so you can wash your muddy clothes straight away! To the exterior of Bryn Coed you have a small yard area with picnic bench and a distant coastal view, perfect for an afternoon snack in the sunshine, or you can stroll into the town centre and grab a bite at one of the many tempting eateries! There are also a plethora of independent shops to pick up some souvenirs for your loves ones back home, as well as a collection of attractions such as the Maritime Museum where you can learn the history of the town, and the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways, journeying through 40 miles of rural pasture and forests. If exploration takes you further afield then be sure to visit Blaenau Ffestiniog, home to the wonderful Bounce Below, a unique trampoline park set in underground slate caverns, or take to the heights of the Zip World Titan, an exhilarating experience as you soar through the sky at speeds of up to 70mph! Should you fancy a day of sunbathing, there are a number of golden sandy beaches such as Black Rock Sands Beah, ideal for an afternoon of seaside fun with your little ones playing some beach games. Bryn Coed is a great base for taking on the delights of Wales and Eryri (Snowdonia).

Resting on the Glaslyn Estuary is this bustling harbour town, Porthmadog. A major hub, Porthmadog offers a wealth of shops, restaurants, pubs, cafés and attractions, such as the narrow-gauge Ffestiniog railway, running all the way to Caernarfon. Very friendly Landlord text us on the day to day the cottage was ready! Freshly laundered bedding and towels all ready! A pint of milk in the fridge came in v useful. All absolutely superb! The layout was fantastic for us with a family of 5! Did not feel small very well laid out. Fantastic curry house on Bank Place too! Just perfect! Will definitely recommend & return! Having a fairly young baby i was mortified when she was having floor play time to smell the rug in the living room. All the rooms where decorated to a nice standard but it does need a deep clean. I was shocked when we arrived to see that the log burner can not be used by guests when one of the advertising points was that you could have open fire. We had to fix the toilet flush when we arrived too but that was just one of them things. The owners really need to sort the damp and black mould out and make sure the property is fully cleaned and it would have had a 5 star rating.

Parking wasn’t an issue as we parked Terrace Road. I would recommend bringing a big casserole pan as the two small pans provided aren’t great for doing a stew or chilli for 4. Spent ages looking for the light switch in the kitchen to turn off only to realise it’s on an infrared sensor and turns off after a few minutes. Very comfortable and warm. Would love to stay again.
