Sitting within the Brecon Beacons National Park, this generously sized cottage is ideally suited for active adventures from hiking to cycling with the family. Llangorse Lake lies just 2 miles away boasting a whole host of water sports for you to try, just one of the many days out on your doorstep. Having been prettily decorated, the property offers a perfect place to relax and unwind with your loved ones after a long day, be it in the picturesque garden, the lovely conservatory or relaxing in front of the fire.
Upon arrival, gather your family together in the living room and you’ll love the characterful wood burner, exposed beams across the ceilings and comfortable options for seating. Come rain or shine, the conservatory offers a place to kick back with a good book on the sofas with views out towards the garden to be enjoyed. Adjoined by a large doorway, the kitchen and dining room share a similar charm, with stylish finishes throughout, and lovely features such as the wood burner set into an exposed stone fireplace. The staircase leads up to the three bedrooms, starting with the delightful king-size bedroom with a bay window and sublime views of the surrounding countryside. In addition, there is a double and a twin room, the latter of which boasts an en-suite shower room. Completing the holiday home is the modern family bathroom where long evening soaks and refreshing showers can be had. The garden has been equipped to entertain, with a children’s trampoline, a selection of games and a table and chairs for al fresco dining ensuring something for everyone.
The village of Llangorse (3 miles) is not only home to an action-packed lake but also a fantastic pony trekking and adventure centre with opportunities to rock climb, zip line and trek through the scenic landscapes. Talybont-on-Usk is a great place to visit for whimsical walking routes, particularly the waterfall walk which is a perfect spot to sit and enjoy a picnic of local produce. For a leisurely afternoon, why not visit the market towns of Crickhowell (7 miles) or Hay-on-Wye (15 miles) where you’ll find an array of treasures in the independent shops and eateries?
