About this property

Boasting an elevated position above the treeline of Beddgelert Forest, a few miles from the foot of the majestic Snowdonia mountain range, is this delightful, Swedish-style cabin. Snowdon Vista Cabin’s key feature is the superb, commanding views it offers over Nant Colwyn and on a clear day, the Snowdon Mountain Railway train can be seen rising to the summit. This heart-warming retreat has been designed to offer family and friends alike the opportunity to spend time within a wonderful countryside setting, with a base housing all the essentials for a week-long holiday. Fulfilling your culinary needs is the well-equipped kitchen, where the designated cook of the group can prepare a home-cooked meal before gathering the family around the dining table, where countryside views can be enjoyed from every direction. After dinner, sink into the sofas which rest in front of the TV while the electric fireplace fills the room with warmth during those chilly winter months. As the evening draws to a close, drift off to sleep within one of the well-presented bedrooms, comprising of a double bedroom and a twin bedroom. During a sunny day, make the most of the patio area, where you and your loved ones can pour a refreshing drink to enjoy whilst soaking up the picturesque surroundings. If you don’t feel like cooking one evening, venture into the centre of Beddgelert, where you will find a selection of traditional pubs and eateries, as well as shops for picking up any essentials. Whilst visiting Beddgelert you can brush up on the local history by visiting Gelert's Grave or taking a tour of the Sygun Copper Mine. Alternatively, venture to the coast where you will find a number of award-winning beaches which includes the popular resort of Porthmadog or be charmed by the Italianate village of Portmeirion. Snowdon Vista Cabin is a refreshing break within an area steeped with natural beauty.

Beddgelert is a small village set at the heart of Snowdonia National Park at the foot of Mount Snowdon. Within the village you will find arts and craft shops, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants, centred around the Afon Glaslyn river. Within close reach you will find Aberglaslyn Pass, Welsh Highland Steam Railway, as well as Porthmadog, Portmeirion, Borth y Gest and the whole of the Llyn Peninsula.

If you are looking to get off the grid and either relax or do some walking, I would definitely recommend the Snowdon Vista Cabin. It even has its own waterfall! It is located a couple of miles outside of Beddgelert which has everything you need in a lovely little village, including a couple of nice pubs.

Whatever the weather (not the best this time) the cabin is a wonderful winter bolt hole and base to return to. Warm, cosy and comfortable it would be hard to better this little holiday retreat. Thanks Sue and Gary for being the perfect hosts.

Completely fell in love with the village, beautiful views and lots of places to eat drink and browse. Great location for the activities we had booked but also lots of amazing walks with the kids during the times when we didn’t have anything booked. Sue and Gary were great, very helpful and friendly and everything was seamless. The cabin was spotless very clean and we had everything we needed. New shower and everything is the kitchen very clean and I am normally fussy. The cabin is perfect for what we needed it for. We definitely hope to be back and a big thanks to sue and Gary for such a wonderful stay.
