  Opening the door to The Piglets we got the WOW factor.

  We had taken our granddaughters 23 and 21 on holiday to Suffolk, after taking them on many holidays through the years abroad and UK, they both loved this wonderful find. Close to all places for sightseeing, set in a lovely garden, where we enjoyed relaxing, chatting and two evenings in the hot tub. Our little dog loved it too. The girls enjoyed the bottle of wine which was a nice touch welcoming us on our arrival together with doggy treats for our pooch. The space between the bedrooms, both with en-suite had been well thought out. To be honest we could not have wanted for more that’s why we have rated this a 10. Which is rare as we have been to many places promising everything to be disappointed! Not here if you are looking for lovely accommodation in an excellent location look no further! The only warning is if you sit outside in the garden or hot tub on a warm night be sure to take care of the mosquitoes, one of our granddaughters got bitten and she is allergic to them but here again she received excellent service from the doctors surgery. If you should have any problems, which I doubt, the owners are nearby and are very helpful with very well behaved children, who deliver logs to your door should you need them.   It was a very relaxing getaway over the Christmas period.

  Excellent amenities and, for a change!, a very good Wi-Fi signal, which was immensely helpful when still trying to do some work. Happy to return in the future, which should indicate how much we enjoyed being here. Anyone wishing to stay should realise that it is a moderately remote area with nothing at all in the immediate vicinity. A petrol station was a good ten miles away, although the shops were a bit nearer I believe. There is no pub within walking distance. Only tea and coffee plus a bottle of Prosecco were available when we arrived. There was no cooking foil or any cooking oil available. For us, this was not a problem as we came fully equipped and brought everything we needed. This could have been down to the time of year, I don't know. However, anyone wishing to stay here should be aware that you should either make sure you have enough provisions or buy it locally or even get it delivered on arrival. This is an observational comment based on our experience at a quieter time of year. This is definitely a place to consider for the Summer as the surroundings are superb.

  We were the first guests to stay at Admirals Cottage, it is absolutely lovely, you can really see the care and attention that has gone into making it a comfortable place to stay. It's in a perfect location for exploring the local area, and further afield. Aldeburgh, Southwold and Woodbridge are well worth a visit. We popped up to Yarmouth and Lowestoft as well. Neil was really helpful with some recommendations of places to eat, we had a nice bite to eat at The Duck, Campsea Ashe and popped into The Ramsholt Arms on our way home for lunch, again this was lovely. Only a few bit's of feedback, non are negative, just some observations. It would be good to have a little book telling guests the basic info like WiFi Password, which bin is which (we weren't sure if we could put glass in the recycling). We couldn't work out how to get the normal TV channels on the TV (not sure if that was actually possible LOL). The welcome hamper as lovely. Will definitely be recommending to friends and will be back for another visit soon.

  We booked this cottage as just a get away for the two of us over Christmas, but my wife’s mother took ill so I asked if we could also have the parents in law with us for a couple of days. This was accommodated immediately and it gave us all peace of mind. The fold down bed in the lounge was great and they both said it was very comfortable. The property is well maintained and well equipped and we had all the equipment necessary for our stay. Only comment I’d make is maybe have a roll of clingfilm and foil amongst the consumables. It’s something we’ve always had supplied at previous properties and we’ve probably done 60 stays over the last 3 or 4 years. Everything else was great. More than enough dishwasher tablets and cleaning products and enough books in the quite substantial library to occupy you for a year. The enclosed garden area was great with the dogs and we didn’t have to worry about them getting out. The cottage is well located and is close enough to most tourist sites, but far enough away to not get all the traffic.

  Piglets was a lovely place to stay and felt like home from home.

  Extremely well equipped and you couldn’t ask for a nicer place to stay. The welcome gift of wine, biscuits and dog treats was a lovely touch and much appreciated. Kim and Neil were supper friendly and helpful. Kim popped over to introduce herself and let us know how to contact her should we need to. It was really helpful knowing they were Nextdoor, but I must say it was not intrusive in any way. Piglets felt rural, but had great access to all the amenities and attractions. The weather was awful during our stay, but it gave an excuse to light the log burner, sit back relax and enjoy being cosy while watching rain and wind outside. We had a bit of a medical issue while staying at piglets, and it was great to know Kim was close by. Both Kim and Neil were extremely helpful and supportive during our hour of need. Thank you
