What our customers say about their holidays

Just returned from a lovely 3 night stay at Gorrig Cottage.
Two adults, a 12Yr old, a 14yr old and 2 dogs. The cottage was perfect for us and the dogs. There was everything we needed for our stay. Be sure to take plenty of dog towels (we did) as the front entrance leads into the main lounge area so the dogs have to skip across a bit of carpet before they get to the tiled kitchen and bathroom areas. The back door into the enclosed garden is off the kitchen. We were out and about all day 10am to 7pm ish so the traffic from the road didn't bother us. It might have done if it was high summer and I had been in the garden with morning coffee or evening G&T ( check me out it sounds like I live my best life at all times !!) Previous reviews state the entrance is narrow ... it is.... but perfectly doable with care. Plenty of logs provided for the log burner, beds were super comfy. Lots of information and leaflets in the cottage. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did . I am now off to see if I can make my own Welsh cakes !! Xx

Lovely little cottage with unbeatable scenery and surroundings.
Very very cosy on these Winter nights. I absolutely loved the conservatory and the views that could be seen from within and from the bedrooms, either of the rolling hills or the farm. The owners were lovely and made sure to come and say hi when we arrived and briefly each day without being too intrusive, and upon our arrival we were greeted by some tea :D and some food and drink supplies which was a really nice touch. We had a 2 year old with us, and she didn't get bored not even for a moment. Plenty of things to see, there's a small playground not too far as well as being within an hours drive of the coast. Our only very minor problem was the hot water for the downstairs bath taking a while to fill and cutting out every now and again, but other than that we can't fault it at all. All 3 of us would fully recommend this cottage, given we stayed in December I can only imagine how amazing it would be in the Summer months and I'm very tempted to find out. Thank you!!!

Warmly welcomed on arrival by both Mair and Alan.
They had left us fresh milk, Welsh cakes, tea, coffee, salt, pepper, sugar, dishwasher tablets, washing powder and plenty of fuel for the fire. The supply of all these basics is a great help to settle in quickly. The dogs were totally secure in both rear and front gardens so we could relax and let them wander about whilst we unpacked the car. Two friends stayed with us the first 2 nights and they found the adult bunks very comfortable as we did the double bed. The living room is like a pub lounge: very cosy, but, because we were staying in September during Covid19 and the evenings were drawing in, we had to spend lots of time on the lounge furniture which could be more comfortable. Weâre not young and wouldâve liked a greater level of comfort in the sofa and easy chairs. That was the only negative and, had we been able to go out more, we wouldnât have noticed it.

Absolutely stunning!
It's only letting me click on 4 stars for this review which is a shame as it deserves a full 5 stars. Clean, cosy & very homely, set in a beautiful location, we were greeted warmly. Very thoughtful touches like Welsh cakes & fresh milk along with tea, coffe & sugar, fresh daffodils plus a full log basket & coal scuttle, I cannot praise Mair & Alan highly enough on their beautiful holiday cottage. The booklet provided information on lots of local walks, all in spectacular scenery as well as offering advice on local eateries and places of interest. The enclosed garden is beautifully peaceful & a lovely spot to enjoy a bit of sun & birdsong. Absolutely superb, 10/10. Thank you for a lovely little break, I'm already looking forward to my next visit

We very much enjoyed our stay.
The owners live very nearby to the property which is situated on a working farm. Whilst welcoming and friendly, they were never intrusive. The property is very comfortable and the view from sun room is marvellous. The local pub (a community run venture) is within easy walking distance whilsy Lampeter is a short drive away and has a number of other pubs and eateries. If you value peace and quiet you'll enjoy Llety'r Wennol. It was nice to lay in bed at night listening to nothing other than the odd sheep and a distant owl. On our return home we almost immediately booked a return visit for October and, having enjoyed visiting in spring, we now look forward to seeing it in the autumn .
