What our customers say about their holidays
Andrea - Verified booking
The Glen is a real holiday for any family.
The property is secluded yet within easy reach of Carndonagh Town with every type of shop or service needed. The house itself, wow! We were blown away! The best quality appliances, full built in furniture throughout. Everything one would need is included in the package right down to the electric multi cooker. The rooms are all very spacious. 3 showers and a jacuzzi bath. The beds were very comfortable and had extra blankets and pillows. 7 beds in total, king-size, double and 3 single beds, one with a pullout mattress for an extra guest. The owner, Ryan, is obviously understanding of each individuals needs and has provided a luxury spacious, warm home to suit everyone and anyone. I had a severely learning disabled adult, two elderly and infirm parents and an adult with a serious medical condition. Everyone felt at home and everyone's needs were met. The ramp at the back door was a godsend. Ryan has maintained this home to the highest standard. He has an eye for detail and provides fixtures, fittings and accessories of very high quality. No expense spared. As a host, he was brilliant. Rowing up in the area, he is knowledgable and can guide you to the best places to visit, to dine at or to go for a lively morning walk. Responding immediately to any messages I sent, even on Christmas day. He is attentive and kind, taken care of every detail, honestly, this home definitely made Christmas break away one to remember; it was truly the best Christmas break our family has had for many years. I don't get many breaks away but I will be booking a break away to the Glen in 2025.

We were VERY pleasantly surprised when we arrived at Whitehorse House in Donegal.
The location is absolutely stunning, and the house takes full advantage of this - the kitchen and seating areas have massive windows, which look out onto the rolling waves of the sea, two of the four bedrooms also have excellent sea views. However, the house itself would be what we would consider a 'destination' in itself - underfloor heating throughout, large and spacious rooms, an extremely well stocked kitchen (we like to cook, and most times we hire a house, we have to bring our supplies with us - none were needed this time, everything we wanted was provided, and more). Everything supplied was of a very high quality. Very comfortable beds, plenty of extra sheets and towels there if needed, Dyson hair dryers, washer and dryer in the boiler room, lots of very cosy armchairs, a library with loads of books, open fire (which we didn't need, as the heating was on 24/7), all four bedrooms are en-suite, and tons of hot water always available, all four bedrooms also have TVs too. Upstairs there is another massive room, with a huge TV at one end, a table tennis table, snooker table, games console and a desk looking out to sea. The house was spotless when we arrived, and Anne was there to greet us and show us around - very friendly, and nothing was too much trouble for her. She also came to see us off on our last day. We were a party of six adults (and two dogs), and we stayed for seven nights, but all of us were disappointed that we had not booked for longer. If you get a chance to to to Whitehorse House - do it!! You won't regret it.

Location is good The property looks good on the outside nice garden plenty of outside parking Layout inside spacious , but is in need of a deep clean especially in the kitchen , fridge freezer was ok but needs replaced Dishes were filthy I had to bleach the cups and wash plates before use , the inside of cupboards were filthy Hob oven and tiles were disgusting, the sink was bad and I had to bleach it , blinds falling to bits in some of the rooms , kitchen cupboards are in need of attention , around bottoms of shower trays , inside of windows a frames need a good cleaning Had to buy a duvet cover for the upstairs en-suite room as the under side was all rough with the material balling I payed over £1000 for 7 days expected better , I donât live with dirt at home so donât want to live in conditions like Sallywood for a holiday There needs to be a governing body to inspect these properties as the level of hygiene is bad , Skyeâs need to investigate the properties before they advertise as pictures are deceiving I have found the condition of properties I rent which is twice in the year have started to slip where cleanliness and overall maintenance is concerned Prices are ridiculously high for what you get

10/10 property.
We would book rentals on a regular basis and this is without a doubt the best we have ever stayed in. The property itself was absolutely spotless. Could not find a single fault with the cleaning. The property is exactly like the pictures, if not better. It's spacious, comfortable and has everything you would need for a great stay. The hot tub and games room/bar are amazing additions that we loved using. We stayed over Christmas and the hosts had very kindly put up a real Christmas tree and had decorated the house. This was such a lovely touch and something we had never experienced in any rental at Christmas before. The hosts were easily contactable and lovely to speak to. We loved our stay so much we booked again before we had even left. You won't regret booking this beautiful home.

Was a wonderful setting, especially beautiful sunsets.
We were 4 couples and felt completely at home and comfortable. There was plenty of extra space to spread out, or to find a quiet retreat. Beds were comfortable-no complaints from anyone! The house was neat, clean, well organized. And the views were mesmerizing. Would highly recommend this property to families or groups. Location was fine for us, as we had been to Ireland before and didnât feel a need to see the typical sites. But it does sit a bit far from some touristy sites. We were exploring, finding national forest sites, walking areas, and views more than seeking castles. A boat trip to the Slieve League cliffs was a great one to book ( seasonal). So the location for us was fine. Yes, we all felt it was an ideal visit for us and would return when opportunity allows.
