  Wow! Wow! Wow! What a Very Special place Skreel View Lodge is we’ve just had the most Fabulous week as a Family and Lola 🐾 making the most special memories for us all. The Lodge has Everything you need for a chill relaxed holiday from the moment you Enter through the front door the Stunning Lodge just wraps it arms around you. A lovely Welcome awaits you with an amazing Welcome Tray with lovely goodies a lovely touch. The Lodge was absolutely Immaculate the Furnishings and Furniture beautiful quality, beds and bedding comfortable and cozy ,bathrooms and towels lovely quality. The spacious lounge/dinning and kitchen area a perfect place to relax of an evening, But whatever time of the day The Highlight has to be The View from the Balcony Morning Noon or Night the Most Spectacular Sunsets 🌅 I’ve ever seen a lovely spot with a cup of tea or a glass of wine. A lovely walk to beautiful Kippford and some great food in The Anchor and its view over Estuary a great place to People Watch or onwards to Rockciffe if you want to. Thank You Barbara and Family for sharing your very special part of Scotland with us we had the most Amazing Time in Skreel View (and even spotted Deer at the top by the Forest ) a Fantastic Holiday in a Beautiful Lodge in a Perfect Spot we will be back x

  This is a large comfortable family house in a fabulous location. Compared to a lot of holiday houses it will seem dated and even a bit shabby in parts but we liked the relaxed, homely feel. It has antique furniture and original artwork throughout which is very interesting and characterful. It has everything you could need in the kitchen and the large utility is very useful too. The beds were comfortable. and the two huge sitting rooms allowed plenty of space to spread out. The Wi-Fi was surprisingly good as it is often not great in holiday lets. The house was warm and the log burners were nice on a chilly evening. The garden was wonderful, the bird life was so varied and it’s so quiet you can sit out front or back and watch them all come and go. The shell beach right outside is beautiful and we had some amazing sunsets. The woodlands to the rear offered an alternative walk. It is a great place for dogs with such lovely walks from the doorstep, including across to the tidal island at certain times of the year. The pub up the road does great food and was easily within walking distance. Overall, a relaxing week in a lovely house, I’m not surprised there seem to be a lot of repeat visitors, we have rebooked it already.

  Property big enough for party of 7 plus dog ( but understand only taking bookings for 6 now - not clear why) Plenty of communal space including outside Wi-Fi good especially for son who had to work part of week. Plenty of privacy Showers good but no blind in second en suite. Kitchen well stocked ( apart from no pizza cutter and accessible wine decanter ) Experience could be improved by having a welcome pack with basic essential as no shop in village. Guide book full of donts rather than welcome Outside furniture needs to be replaced as getting rusty delapidated hut at top of garden needs to removed or at least closed down as promised in reply about nine months ago. Lounge furniture exhibits Edwardian shabby chic but some investment now necessary in replacements If you expect guests to clean the house because apparently the cleaner does not clean, then you should supply hoovers that work properly Finally someone should check that previous tenants have not left clothes behind as we discovered in a chest of drawers Finally the dog loved it

  Crabtree lodge and Mossyard is a portal to another world, a place where you can relax and reconnect, where the days are never the same and the sky tells many stories in a day. NEVER EVER EVER EVER.... have we stayed in such a BRILLIANT equipped holiday accommodation even a blender which was a god send to us for our disabled daughter! The attention to detail within the lodge is lovely from the art work on the walls to the bedding and lovely fluffy towels, the kitchen is equipped beyond belief. The Christmas decorations were enough for our current situation we knew it was Christmas but not in your face Christmas it was tactful and thoughtful. Thank you for sharing Mossyard with us this Christmas very special memories were made with the magic and sanctuary of Mossyard. Definitely book Gather at Laggans up the hill breathtaking views and food amazing and don't miss highly reccommend is The 1 Little Farm shop which is on the farm @1littlefarm for all your local produced foods!!

  We went to Screel View for a bit of recuperation, after a very trying few months, and we absolutely achieved that aim. Relaxation, with a gentle hike down to Kippford for a cup of tea, was what we got, in the most beautifully furnished lodge! The photos of the cabin/lodge, and the area, really don't do it justice. When looking at the photos, you can't hear the silence, or smell the fresh air, or feel the soft carpet in the living room :-) The quality of the furniture and all the fittings is excellent, and every little detail has been considered to make a short stay perfect. The kitchen's beautifully equipped, and the hob and oven are a joy to use (not often I can say that about a holiday let!!). The beds....the mattresses are incredibly comfortable, not too hard or too soft, and the bed linen and pillows are top notch. I could go on and on ....probably best you just check it out for yourselves ;-)
