  The house was truly fantastic, really spacious and we had a ball all weekend!

  We were 12 adults and a toddler and everyone had the space to enjoy themselves without getting under each others feet. Even though the weather wasn’t great there was so much at the house to keep us entertained that we didn’t leave for the entirety of our stay. We especially enjoyed the games room, pool and jacuzzi. It was a great touch that we could have a supermarket shop delivered before we arrived which was all put away nicely so when we arrived we could just start the weekend straight away. Everything has been thought of and there was nothing that we ended up needing throughout the weekend, from having a full set of toiletries in every bathroom to fans and phone chargers in the bathroom and an incredibly well stocked kitchen (including oil coffee tea sugar etc!) it really does make the difference. The house was pristine and appears to be really well maintained. All the rooms and beds were comfy, and we also found everything we needed to keep a 2 year old entertained. My only feedback for an area of improvement is the check in/check out times are a bit stingy for a self catering holiday home. Not being able to arrive until after 4pm and then having to be out by 10am meant we felt like we had to instantly crack on with dinner on the night of arrival and on the day of check out was a big rush in the morning making and tidying up breakfast for 12 people and packing the house up. Just an extra 2 hours on the check out day would really extend the enjoyment of the house :) it’s just that good we didn’t want to leave!!

  We arrived on Monday with our 2 small dogs, at 4.

  00 pm , the designated arrival time and were met by Daisey , who welcomed us and filled us in about the idea and the 2 year build project they personally performed to create such a lovely space. She showed us to our Pod Ash. She explained where everything was and left us to settle in, saying to contact her by phone should we want anything. The pod was as described , possibly slightly larger but with all mod cons provided. The bed was one of the most comfortable we have ever slept in and the shower was certainly the best we have had away from home. Constant pressurised hot water a bonus. The sun shone almost every day, sadly the wind was a bit cold to sit outside but the pod was lovely enough to eat inside and facilities were perfectly fine for us to prepare all our meals . Just a mile away from JCB headquarters, we walked the puppies around their beautiful lake most days Denstone farm shop about 2 miles away is well worth a visit. We had a wonderfully relaxing break at ASH and would recommend the Walled Garden Glamping Pods to anybody, with each pod having sleeping arrangements for up to five.   The holiday property was absolutely superb, we were greeted by Danny, the property owner and he showed us around and familiarised us with the facilities.

  Every area of the property was beautifully kept and clean. The swimming pool was simply fantastic and the hot tub was exceptionally pleasant in the cold February air. The garden was awesome for the dogs and they were able to play unencumbered by leads, and we have two sighthounds! Although Lincolnshire is a beautiful and under mentioned County, we id not venture further than the large parking area, as there was simply no need - we had our shopping delivered and the facilities, including games room kept us fully entertained for the week. We even saw the Red Arrows practicing, as they are stationed at RAF Waddington. The bedrooms were spot on and the main bedroom had an en-suite with a large bathtub, big enough for two! I am a particularly fussy and notoriously hard to please person (according to the wife), but I have no hesitation in awarding this property and owner 10/10 and would fully recommend that others book this property for their family event, especially at a very reasonable cost in comparison to other properties with this level of facilities and quality.

  Lovely property, well laid out, everything within Samphire is faultless.

  It's comfortable and very clean. The only thing that let it down was the garden. The grass is patchy and overgrown in some areas. It lacks a bit of TLC. It would be have nice to have some comfortable seating for relaxing in the garden. The picnic table and metal chairs (which were meant for the front I think, but previous holidaymakers probably moved them) weren't comfortable enough to sit on if you wanted to sit for a while. There were two wooden chairs on the top garden, but they were absolutely covered in bird droppings. Although I can understand that it would be very difficult to keep on top of that. If the garden is tidied up a bit we would love to come back next year. We enjoyed walking Jack (the dog) on the beach, along the lane to the fields and along the path at the top of the sand dunes. We were very fortunate to have great weather all week. A quiet, relaxing and peaceful holiday. The owners did a fantastic job when they renovated Samphire.

  Lovely place, cleaner than a lot of places I have stayed but I am so sorry I can't give a higher rating.

  Parking was virtually impossible for one car never mind 2. It took me lots of to-ing and fro-ing to get the car onto the blocked paving. The track in front is access to other properties so you can't overhang onto it. Cleanliness and comfort are extremely important, and whilst I am happy with how well the bungalow is kept, although someone elses clothes were left in a drawer, I have had no sleep. What is going on with the bed? When you feel the mattress it feels lovely, but when you get into bed there's a distinct ridge down the centre which means you are fighting not to roll to the edge of the bed all night long regardless of which side you sleep. At a petite 5' this shouldn't be happening. I spent nights awake and days dozing on the sofa, so my holiday was in fact not a holiday at all. Yes, I tried anothre double bed but that was on a slant too. I am leaving for my second part of my 'holiday' feeling absolutely shattered. Pros: Clean Cons: Bed, parking
