  Lovely cosy cottage in the heart of the village.

  The modern kitchen is extremely well equipped and the owners very thoughtfully provided extras such as milk, cake, tea bags and coffee. The lounge has the added bonus of a wood-burner fire although we didn’t use it as we felt comfortable temperature-wise but we would imagine it would be great during the cooler months of the year. The main bedroom is very spacious and the double-bed extremely comfortable - there is lots of storage space to put away clothes. The loft bedroom would be excellent for a child to sleep in with the added safety of a stair-gate at the top of the staircase. The space in the cellar as a utility room has been out to great use with a washing machine and clothes airer, cleaning items and also a high chair and extra stair-gate. Plenty of hot water for a shower at the end of a day’s walking and more than enough loo-rolls provided for a week’s stay - the owners have really thought about looking after their guests. Wi-Fi was really good. We would definitely recommend staying in Weaver’s Cottage due to its fantastic location to nearby Hebden-Bridge and lots of brilliant local walks nearby. It’s not too far to explore a bit further afield, for example, Haworth, Ilkley,, Saltaire or walking along the canal path to Sowerby Bridge. The bus and train services are both excellent if you want to use public transport instead of driving every day. A real home from home holiday experience, Thank you Heather and Tony! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

  Megs Den was a perfect location & convenient for all we needed The owner communicated directly to provide some great tips on the local area & a nice that we had milk, and some drinks ready for our arrival, also tea, coffee & sugar along with washing up items The beds were very comfortable & bathroom was also great My only comments would be that some more comfortable furniture would be good in the living room & the carpets need a good clean, I know it’s suitable for dogs, but we thought a new more forgiving colour or a deep clean would improve the property as we paid premium price due to the time of year, but think a spruce up is needed Really enjoyed our stay though so thank you

  As someone who doesn't drive but loves staying in remote cottages Pike View was perfect.

  I could get the bus right from Hebden Bridge train station to almost the front door. Having a very frequent bus service meant I could walk to Heptonstall and Hebden Bridge then catch the bus back. There was a beautiful walk to Colden Clough from the cottage as well. The views from the cottage were beautiful and I spent the evenings watching a pheasant family and barn owls from the window seat. Then once it got dark there were bats. The cottage had everything you needed and was beautifully furnished. There are steep stairs between the floors but I got used to them. My pets loved the garden and I was lucky enough to be able to sit out in the sun most days. I definitely hope to return.

  Stayed at Brook View Cottage over the Christmas period 2024. Loved the cottage, and the area. Neighbours were really friendly and helpful. Cottage was very warm and cosy and everything was provided. Lovely touches including a doggy welcome pack, and a very personal letter to them both about their holiday! Ideal location for dog walking, and supermarkets are only 5 miles away. Bed very comfy, and everywhere was immaculate. The garden isn't completely secure, so if your dog is an escape artist, or likes to chase neighbouring cats, then be aware. Apart from that we highly recommend this cottage for a holiday. The owner was very friendly and always extremely helpful.

  This is the 3rd time we have stayed at this beautiful, cosy cottage & had a wonderful time.

  We had the snow which made the village & surrounding hills look very pretty & picturesque. We walked Blackstone Edge & the Bridestones Moor & Stoodley Pike in the snow, which was stunning. The village is really charming, good local shop & great buses round the area. We don't have a car & didn't need one as the buses/train service gets you everywhere you need to go. The cottage is warm, welcoming & homely to come back to and has everything you need. It's spotless & the autumnal touches were lovely. We'll be back, so thank you Heather & Tony for another fab holiday in your cottage.
