  What a charming location the holiday cottage/annex is, set within a gated court yard and parking right outside your door. A beautiful modern well appointed kitchen and a lovely welcome pack wine, Amaretto biscuits, coffee and milk, it was lovely to sit and have breakfast and evening meal if staying in. The living accommodation was up stairs with the bedroom just off it, Freeview TV and good WiFi, the bed was a game of two half’s, I loved the extra thick topper great to sink into but my other half would have preferred a harder bed, but wouldn’t stop him going back. The swimming pool albeit not heated was a welcome bonus as it was 31 degrees! and once in the water it was lovely, the pool was also nice to sit around reading or having a beer or two. Pool towels also left out by the thoughtful owners. A beautiful walled garden was a great area to sit and relax. The small village is very quiet and secluded but a visit to Norwich, The Broads and small villages including Holt all within half an hours drive with the coast 3 mile away or a 5 min drive. All in all loved it and the owners Carol and Steve very welcoming and on hand if anything needed and useful information on days out. Would definitely recommend and return another time maybe with the family to the adjacent cottage.

  This chalet is a nice base, great location for the village and walks around the area and coast.

  We found the chalet has limited sockets and when we moved the double bed to get to the sockets behind it we found mould spores. We had to clean the bathroom when we arrived. There was no bottle opener. The DAB radio in the kitchen did not work. There is no shaver socket. We noticed lots of cobwebs behind the blinds and when we moved the tray on top of the fridge a large spider appeared and went under the fridge. When we moved the bin in the kitchen to empty it there was a spider hiding behind it. Other than this we found dog biscuits, cake, milk in the fridge, tea, coffee, sugar, salt, vinegar and the village has a nice beach cafe and two chippies. Can recommend.

  The chalet facilities were exactly as described and the photographs were very accurate.

  It was immaculately clean, tidy, and welcoming. All equipment functioned as it should. The site is well laid out and reasonably well maintained. The village possesses most of the features and facilities that are necessary to support a holiday for an average sized family. The bathroom mirror is smaller than we would have liked but there are good sized mirrors in both of the bedrooms. There is no shaver socket in the bathroom but fortunately we had taken the precaution of taking an adaptor plug. All in all, we had a great time in North Norfolk, in Mundesley, and in the chalet.   Knapton Hall annex is situated in a lovely peaceful village, not far from shops and coastline with lots of other things to see nearby. The bed is comfy, bathroom spacious and clean, the TV/wifi is good, everything worked as it should and the Host was friendly, although the annex is attached to their home I was left alone to enjoy the peace, as I wanted. You do need to take your own, kitchen roll, bin bags, dishcloth etc for this property. If you enjoy listening to bird song in the morning and having lovely views from the bedroom windows this Annex will make you happy.

  The chalet was small but comfortable.

  The location is as expected out of the way, but a perfect base camp for exploring. It was spotless but with a couple of very minor issues, like the cooking pans were quite dirty especially the frying pan that was full of grease. A bedroom door latch was stuck in the open position, there was no wi-fi, and a broken rubbish bin lid. I tried finding where to report these tiny issues to Sykes, but was unsuccessful on either their app or website or e-mails. There was a contact no: for anything problematic, but these issues did not spoil our stay and were very minor.
