  We absolutely loved our stay in Field Barn and the Cottage next door. What a gem! The beds were comfortable, the towels fluffy and the water hot. There was lots of cooking and eating equipment, a large fridge freezer and most importantly an amazing view and peaceful surroundings. We saw hares, deer and kites out of the window as well as long tailed tits flitting about. It is a sociable place with plenty of seating on the comfy sofas and out on the picnic benches in the sunshine. It is conveniently located for visiting the area. We walked on three beautiful beaches, seeing seals as well as coastal birds.The village shop is handy and the walks straight from the house pleasant. We would absolutely recommend this barn and the adjoining cottage to family groups or friendship groups.

  The property was well presented and clean. We stayed for two weeks and there was some confusion over whether we would get clean bedding and towels for the second week, but a quick call to the owner and this was sorted out. My escapologist dog found a hole in the bottom of the hedge, but the owner tells me that they are going to put some netting under the hedge so that should sort it out. The facilities were all clean and everything worked as it should, and having been initially sceptical about the electric heating ( I’d never stayed in a fully electric heating house before) we found it was very warm and cosy.   The chalet was small but comfortable.

  The location is as expected out of the way, but a perfect base camp for exploring. It was spotless but with a couple of very minor issues, like the cooking pans were quite dirty especially the frying pan that was full of grease. A bedroom door latch was stuck in the open position, there was no wi-fi, and a broken rubbish bin lid. I tried finding where to report these tiny issues to Sykes, but was unsuccessful on either their app or website or e-mails. There was a contact no: for anything problematic, but these issues did not spoil our stay and were very minor.

  A beautiful property, well located in a quiet village but close to the coastline and plenty of wonderful places of interest. The property was of a very high standard and well suited to our two small Bolognese dogs, especially the garden (we have found in the past that not all "enclosed" gardens are safe and secure for small dogs!) which was completely secure with wire fencing under the planted hedges, a real bonus. We would definitely recommend this property and have already booked again for next year!

  We have just returned from a brilliant week at Field Barn, Ringstead. The properties were ideal for 15 of us to share ranging from age 3 to 74. The facilities were great and the barn and cottage were very unique with lots of character. The grounds were wonderful for the grandchildren to play in. We loved watching the sunsets each evening and were blessed with good weather. The nearest beach was less than a 10 minute drive away and I would highly recommend this for a family holiday.
