What our customers say about their holidays

The listing advertised the property as suitable for 6 people.
Whilst the bedrooms had 2 double and 2 single beds, the downstairs accommodation could only barely accommodate 2 adults and 1 teenager. The photos definitely make it look bigger than it is. Misleading. The advertised trampoline was not there and the garden furniture was rotten and very unsafe. The games room was in poor condition with much of the equipment broken. All of the darts were broken so we only used the pool table. Access to the games room and garden was not child friendly at all and the rear entry point was a series of poorly maintained gates and doors that bordered on being dangerous. The bathroom window was broken and could not be closed. Whilst the accommodation was clean it was generally run down with much of the equipment needing to be replaced ie living room table leg was falling off, the kitchen knives had tips broken off. There was only 1 parking space available for the property which would not be ideal if you were booking for 6 guests. I would not recommend this accommodation for anyone with young children, the elderly, or anyone with mobility issues due to the amount of stairs and uneven floors and extremely poor lighting.

When we arrived the lady said our keys in the door.
Welcome pack of tea and coffee in the kitchen. The main problem weâre the stairs expecting a apartment on the ground floor. Both being elderly and my disability to climb Stairs very difficult falling up and down the stairs on several occasion as the whole apartment are stairs devideing bathroom and bedroom. Also I was not informed to take cleaning products or tea towelsDo they expect you to stay all week and not clean shower/bath or the cooker. There was nothing at all not Even a broom to sweep the floor.I did go and buy products to clean. As for lookout from the windows were onto a dirty motor home I mean dirty belonging to the person looking after the apartments.the other window looked out Onto neighbouring cars.as for the garden the lady did not tell us about keys To get into the garden going through a shed, this was informed to us on the Thursday from another disgruntled person Very disappointing shall put a Red Cross against this holiday

Beautiful and very spacious cottage. The photos don’t do the size of the cottage justice. Very well equipped kitchen, there wasn’t anything they didn’t have and a lovely size. All bedrooms were fabulous especially the super large one and beds were comfortable. Log fire was lovely to relax in front of. Great selection of games and books and the added bonus of the pool table went down great with everyone. The only thing to be mindful of is the entrance to the driveway which is narrow, I think you’d struggle to get a Range Rover in there. Beaches nearby, supermarket not too far but do need a car to get about. Host was really responsive to any messages and helpful with information about the area. We were a party of 4 adults, 5 older teenagers and there was plenty of space. Highly recommend. I also think you could add a hot tub with the space you have but I know the running costs are expensive.

Our family of 4, 2 adults and 2 children - 15 and 9, had a brilliant week staying in Hillymouth.
It was perfectly placed to explore the surrounding North Devon coast with Ilfracombe and Woolacombe being very close. Lee Bay is lovely too and much quieter. The apartment was very clean and had all the amenities we needed, we were thrilled we could even see the sea in the distance from the bedrooms. The games room was a big hit with the kids (and big kids) enabling us to spend some fun family time playing together. The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful too, the sign just inside the front door 'arrive as guests leave as friends' couldn't have said it better. Reading some of the previous reviews we feel there have been some unfair comments made about this property by people who clearly didn't read the information carefully. We have had a great week and wouldn't hesitate to return in the future. Thank you.

The worst property we have stayed in!
!!!. Black mould on all the showers. Needs a handle putting in the bath to help people get out. Skirting boards need dusting and painting. Dust on all the headboards and wardrobe. Fridge had thick ice at the back of it and was filthy inside so had to clean it!!!. Very shabby. Also in the information he never mentioned it was on a main busy road, since Iâm going through a stressful divorce and my mum is 80 on a months time it really wasnât what we wanted . The oven was dirty , thick with grease on doors and inside. Pans in the draws were thick with grease!!. The patio doors - the rims were coming off and couldnât open the blinds easily. All the windows in the house were dirty too!!!. No tea towels or dishcloths. No cleaning materials!!!!. Overall very unhappy with our stay
