Crofthead oozes charm, character and quality, with both antique and modern furnishings enhancing the cosy cottage ambience, but with modern bathroom and kitchen, with excellent range of appliances and facilities. This quiet corner of the Lakes is ideal not only for walking, but also cycling along quiet country lanes and relaxing in tranquil surroundings. The pretty villages of Hesket New Market and Caldbeck are both very close, each with traditional pubs, shops and cafes.

Nice area to walk the fells. The cottage itself was very clean, and had everything expected from a 5 star property. The local hotels nearby served great food and ales.

Really enjoyed our stay at Crofthead Cottage.Everything was there with Keswick or Penrith a 25 minute drive approx.Extremely quiet location with good walks.Took my bike with excellent runs in the area with regional route 71 nearbyRecommend this cottage
