Guests say

Rosevean House is highly praised for its spectacular views, spaciousness, and comfort, making it ideal for family gatherings. The well-equipped kitchen and additional amenities like a pool table enhance the experience. Its proximity to local shops, restaurants, and a beach adds to its appeal, although some minor maintenance issues are noted.

The property is generally well-received for cleanliness, but there are comments about worn and dirty bedside rugs, and some exterior tidiness needed, slightly lowering the score.

The location is consistently lauded for its amazing views and convenience to the harbour, shops, and a nearby beach, making it an exceptional choice.

Guests find the house comfortable, with special mentions of comfortable beds and a relaxing atmosphere, suitable even for those with mobility issues.

The house boasts excellent facilities like a well-equipped kitchen and entertainment options. However, slight niggles over design, lighting, and maintenance are mentioned.

While the property is well-equipped with useful additions, there is no mention of gifts, and therefore, it is not possible to assess thoughtfulness in this context.

The garden is extensive, and the house is set out over two main floors and various levels. There are four bedrooms- two of the double bedrooms take in fantastic views of the bay. Rosevean House has probably the finest view of any house in St. Mawes. Situated in an elevated position over the harbour, the house has incredible views taking in the whole of the bay from the harbour to Place Manor and everything in between, including St. Mawes Castle! The house is just a short walk from St. Mawes Harbour and all the amenities of the village via a pathway and short steep hill. It is possible to hire kayaks from the harbour to explore the local area. The house itself is just a few minutes’ walk to Summers Beach.

St. Mawes has so much to offer the visitor. St. Mawes Castle was built by Henry viii and is a splendid place to take in the views of the Carrick Roads. There are miles of coastal and countryside walks to take in and some idyllic beaches on which to relax and watch the world go by. The little Place Ferry takes visitors to explore St Anthony’s Head and there are regular ferries to Falmouth which has excellent shopping. Being situated on the seafront, the village is also known for the restaurants and pubs that serve superb fish and shellfish dishes all year round. Beach 705 yards.

A wonderful house in which to gather family to celebrate my 60th birthday. The location is amazing - truly spectacular views over St Mawes enjoyed from the large windows and from the 2 patios, and also a quick walk down to the harbour meant we didn't always need to get in the car. The youngsters loved the pool and air hockey table and the fully equipped kitchen with 3 ovens and a walk-in pantry meant we could easily cater a celebration meal for 13 and all fit around the same table to eat!! Rosevean House gave us a relaxing, comfortable and truly memorable week. Thank you!

Rosevean House was the perfect location for our family gathering. It’s very spacious, tastefully furnished and well equipped, particularly in the kitchen, with thoughtful and useful additions to make life comfortable (e.g greaseproof paper and sandwich bags). The views from the house are outstanding. The shops and restaurants in St Mawes are but a short walk away, especially once you work out the short cuts, and the nearby small beach is a 5 minute walk away. We would highly recommend this property.
