Hooked Rise Holiday Lodge is a cosy and comfortable retreat with a welcoming atmosphere, set in a secluded and peaceful location. Guests appreciate the clean and well-equipped accommodation, friendly owners, and the surrounding land with farm animals. The proximity to an airfield adds a unique touch, although the access road's condition is noted. Local amenities and attractions are within easy reach, enhancing the stay.
The lodge consistently receives high praise for its cleanliness, with multiple reviews describing it as spotless, tidy, and well-presented. This indicates a high standard of cleanliness maintained by the owners.
The location is appreciated for its seclusion, quiet setting, and proximity to local amenities and attractions. However, the access road's poor condition with potholes is a recurring concern, slightly affecting the location's overall appeal.
Guests find the lodge cosy and comfortable, with comfortable beds and a homely feel. There is a single mention of needing better heating during cold weather, but overall, the comfort level is rated highly.
The lodge is well-equipped and provides all necessary facilities for a pleasant stay. There are mentions of a welcome hamper and the lodge being well-maintained. However, a few minor suggestions for improvements, such as additional plug sockets and basic cleaning equipment, prevent a perfect score.
The owners are noted for their thoughtfulness, with mentions of a welcome hamper and treats, which contribute to a warm reception. While these gestures are highly appreciated, it is important to note that such personal touches, although likely, are not guaranteed for every stay.

The accommodation is all on the ground floor and comprises a living/dining area with a cosy electric ‘stove-effect’ fire for those cooler evenings, and a well-equipped kitchen should you decide to rustle up a meal or snack. Spent a lovely two days here. The lodge is cosy and comfortable with good views. Sadly its the access road to the lodge that is a nightmare with numerous deep potholes, that made me glad we only stayed 2 days and would put me off returning.
