Surrounded by rolling fields between the River Orwell and River Stour, this beautifully converted former farm building combines characterful interiors, impressive open-plan living and far-reaching rural views. Spend your days exploring nearby footpaths, cycling quiet country lanes or discovering the waterways and local produce of the peninsula, before returning to your private terrace for an evening overlooking the fields.

Step inside and the character of the original farm building has been carefully retained, creating a striking contrast with the contemporary interior. At its heart is an impressive open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting area, where double-height ceilings and full-height windows flood the space with natural light and frame the surrounding countryside. Also on the ground floor is a bedroom with a 5' king-size bed, which can be configured as twin beds on request, accompanied by an en-suite bathroom with a freestanding bath. A separate cloakroom completes the ground floor. Upstairs are two well-appointed bedrooms, both with twin beds which can be configured as king-size beds on request, alongside a family shower room with a walk-in shower.

Outside, The Dairy has its own private decked terrace with outdoor dining for six guests; a lovely spot for morning coffee, alfresco lunches or an evening drink as the sun sets across the fields. Guests also have access to Lodge Farm's shared tennis court.Two electric vehicle charging points are available on-site for an additional charge. Despite its wonderfully peaceful position along a private track, The Dairy is just four miles from Ipswich and less than a ten-minute drive from the renowned Suffolk Food Hall. With beautiful countryside walks, cycling, water sports and fishing all within easy reach, it's perfectly placed for enjoying the best of the Shotley Peninsula.

For larger gatherings, The Dairy can be booked alongside the adjoining Buttery and Parlour to form Lodge Farm, sleeping up to 12 guests. Interconnecting soundproofed doors allow the three cottages to be brought together while retaining the privacy of each individual property, making it particularly well suited to extended families and groups of friends.
