This South facing cottage was formerly an artist’s studio, and has been transformed to provide a wonderful quaint cottage with high quality modern fixtures and fittings and stunning views in every direction, making it the perfect place to relax and watch the world pass by. The triple aspect reception room looks towards the historical Bolton Castle from one window, a very enviable sight, and enjoys stunning panoramic far reaching views of the rolling Wensleydale fells from the other windows, a truly magical setting. Shop 1¼ mile, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

A brilliant base from which to explore the dales. The cottage is very comfortable and well kitted out. The only thing that may be a drawback for some people is the spiral staircase.

Beautiful place and relaxing staying. Lovely old history nearby Bolton castle with lovely view of rolling hills. Not far by car at Aysgarth falls, worth to visiting there. Beautiful! One thing bed mattress is not great comfortable. But overall is good and little cottage. Thank you 🙂

Lawson's Studio is perfect for enjoying a get away from it all break in the Dales. It's located in the hamlet of Castle Bolton & offers excellent views of Bolton Castle and the surrounding countryside. There is very little in the way of amenities but the Castle tea room can be visited without having to pay to visit the Castle itself (although that is worthwhile if you haven't been). Tesco also deliver to the cottage. The cottage itself is tastefully decorated, clean & comfortable and has good facilities for cooking if you want to. The nearest pubs are in Redmire & Carperby, both either a short drive or in fairly comfortable walking distance over fields. The nearest town is Leyburn 3 miles away. We love it and have stayed there 3 times now.
