Outside, the cheerful enclosed sun terrace is a charming spot for dining alfresco, with a few steps leading down to a lovely ornamental garden offering fabulous views across Whitby.

The property lies east of the River Esk, with local attractions including the Captain Cook Memorial Museum and the 199 Steps leading up to Whitby Abbey. Crossing the river, the western half of Whitby is home to the Whalebone Arch and the beautiful beach, along with plenty of great places to eat and drink. Heading inland, you can spend a day exploring the beautiful North York Moors National Park (3 miles).
