Guests say

The Lodge in Presteigne receives glowing praise for its stunning views, peaceful setting, and spotlessly clean, well-equipped accommodation. Guests highlight the comfort, spaciousness, and warmth of the lodge, as well as the convenience of walks from the door and proximity to the town. The hosts are frequently described as friendly and welcoming. While the approach road is steep and narrow, most guests found this a minor issue compared to the many positives. The property is especially appreciated for its relaxing atmosphere and thoughtful touches, making it ideal for a tranquil getaway.

Multiple reviews describe the lodge as spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and well-presented throughout. No significant negative comments about cleanliness were noted.

Guests love the peaceful, scenic location with easy access to walks and the town. The only minor drawback mentioned is the steep, single-track road leading to the property, but this did not detract significantly from the overall experience.

The lodge is repeatedly described as warm, comfortable, spacious, and homely, with guests appreciating the beds, living areas, and overall atmosphere. The property is also noted for being cool in hot weather and warm in colder months.

The lodge is praised for being well-equipped, with everything needed for a relaxing stay. The veranda, kitchen, and general amenities are highlighted. A few guests noted the absence of a washing machine and suggested new towels, but these were minor points.

Guests frequently mention thoughtful touches such as dog towels, treats, welcome goodies, and decorations. While these gestures are appreciated, please note that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

The Lodge was a fantastic place to stay. The kitchen was well-stocked, everything was clean throughout the property and the hosts are responsive and helpful but leave you to enjoy the space. The highlight of the property has to the the verandah though, with amazing views across the valley and sheltered, so you can sit out there come rain or shine. Highly recommend and I would book again.
