What our customers say about their holidays

Dwyros is a fantastic cottage surrounded by countryside, about a mile from the village and beach.
It is very spacious and there is plenty of storage. The kitchen has loads of cupboard space and work surfaces, with a full sized fridge freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. Everything is modern and clean. Gareth lives next door so is on hand if needed, and he called round once to check everything was okay but otherwise you wouldn't know he was there - it's all very quiet and peaceful with a glorious large back garden and superb views from the bedroom window. An ideal cottage for children (which we didn't have) as there is the large garden to run about in and a playground right next door. The back of the cottage is sunny all day and the front lovely and cool, just right after a hot day walking/paddling - we were very lucky with the weather and had wall to wall sunshine. The only additions to the cottage I would suggest are a coffee table and a coat rack, otherwise everything was perfect. The local Costcutter (I guess you could walk there but we weren't that energetic!) is a real Tardis with delicious pies and pasties, and also ready made meals such as roast beef and yorkshire pudding, lasagne, curry, so you can avoid the hassle of cooking and the expense of eating out. The Llyn Peninsula is really stunning with its mountains, soft golden sands, gently lapping waves and cliff walks. Nefyn beach is gorgeous, with a café right on the beach (felt sorry for the poor girl behind the counter as she was on her own and had to combine taking orders, payment, making sandwiches but stayed cheerful!) We were lucky to get one of the few car parking spaces right next to the beach, otherwise you have to park in one of the residential streets and walk down the very steep hill. Morfa Nefyn beach, which is adjacent to Nefyn beach, has a National Trust car park but we didn't visit that beach. There are not a lot of attractions in the area so I reckon you need the good weather to enjoy this part of Wales. Pwllheli, Criccieth and Aberdaeron are definitely worth a visit, we weren't so keen on Abersoch as it was very hilly and full of traffic, even though it was a weekday out of high season (first week in June). Also no disabled concessions or toilets in the car park, unlike the other towns. We also did a scenic drive up to Dinas, spectacular mountains and sea views, and there's an excellent café by the beach called Waves which was quite reasonably priced - seems difficult these days to get a lunch for under £10 each, but this had a few tasty options. Many thanks to Gareth for providing such comfortable accommodation, we would definitely recommend Dwyros.

Abersoch is great, lots of good walking and the most fabulous beaches and views.
We would definitely return. Plenty of eating and drinking choices whilst still retaining a village feel. Dog owners note many parts of coastal path require dog on a lead due to farmland abutting. But lots of off-lead opportunities and dog friendly sections of the beaches. The Grain Store is about 10 mins downhill walk into the centre of Abersoch. Its perfectly adequate for a weeks stay with a quirky lay-out and clean enough where it matters. Comfy beds. We were supposed to get an e-mail in advance from owners which never came, don't know why, but we missed the fact that no towels are provided - perhaps this should be clear in the property details? But not to worry, bath towels were offered to help us out when I asked, just a stress you dont need on arrival. Ramp to front door, but be aware there are a few steep steps to kitchen/bathroom if you have difficulties. No welcome pack provided but that didnt worry us - Asda in Pwhelli and large Londis in the village. Owners have field adjacent and we were permitted to use this for the dog, useful in a morning! Otherwise there is a small section of grass outside the back door. A very enjoyable week.

S accommodation was perfectly adequate.
The linen was clean and the beds comfortable. The mattress was a tad too soft for me, but thatâs just me! Due to COVID, there was no paper info etc about the area, or board games and the like. The Freeview TV was ok. Iâd suggest bringing a fire stick or some DVDs perhaps? The WiFi was found using through using 2 routers, depending on where you were in the small building, which was interesting. Download a few films maybe? The whole was fine and I would come back to if, but it just needs a little more tlc to make it great. The kitchen could do with an upgrade and the whole place broadcast it was a holiday let, smell included. We had our dog; there is a garden but itâs not enclosed, just for info. There are some beautiful photographs of the local scenery, on the walls. It is what it is. It is good value and as I said, I would come back.

The property is a good location and the layout of the house is good.
We were disappointed that the property wasnt particularly clean, surfaces were dusty, floors hadnt been swept properly, internal bins were all dirty. Generally the whole property needed a good bottoming. We were also subject to noisy excavation works right outside which we were told would be one morning which we were fine with but it ended up being several mornings. Diggers on the go right outside the bedroom at 7.30am wasnt what we had planned on. Generally the property needs some TLC inside and out, overgrown garden area, patio full of weeds doesnt make sitting out particularly enjoyable. Whilst there is garden table this was used as a washing airer support! I think if you are going to charge a reasonable sum for people to stay you should at least keep up with the basics. Very disappointed.

The property is extremely comfortable and in a great location if you want to enjoy Abersoch village without the need to drive your car. Located in the high street with instant access to restaurants and bars this was a perfect location for us. The external decked area is a joy to sit out on and the side wind breaks and heaters are a nice touch meaning you can use all year round. We used the pub next door nearly every day for a decent priced pint (for Abersoch at least) and we also had Sunday Lunch there. The accommodation was very clean and all the appliances you could ever need are available for use. We had a very relaxed week with our small dog and would definitely recommend to a friend or colleague. The owner was very helpful and contacted us early on to recommend nearby places to visit.
