What our customers say about their holidays

We have just had such a fantastic week in Snow Hall Barn. We are a family of 4 with two children under the age of 6 and my youngest was tickled with delight that the bedrooms were downstairs and the living space was upstairs - this fact was repeated to me daily. My eldest loved eating out on the balcony that overlooked the field and caught the evening light. The place itself is well kitted out with really good cooking facilities from sharp knives to good quality pots and pans. The owners have been clever to create the upstairs downstairs reverse because the main living space gets the early morning light as well as evening light. The interior is simply and stylishly decorated - just the right combination of modern clean and rustic. The garden at the back of the house is great for playing boule or kicking a football around in and location itself is very quiet. It was a great place to visit the coast as well as more inland attractions like Framlingham Castle. We had spotted the White Horse pub a short walk down the road, famed for its good food, they were very kind but they are not really set up for kids which is a bonus for those without young children. We cannot recommend the place more highly.

Happy time at Snowhall Barn. We spent a lovely week at Snowhall Barn enjoying the peaceful setting and lovely outlook from the house. The downstairs bedrooms were comfortable and very cool on warm nights. Upstairs the open plan room is lovely; spacious and very comfortable and the addition of the balcony is a definite bonus - so nice to step outside with a glass of wine in the evening. Friendly owners...friendly dogs!We hadn't been to Suffolk before and thoroughly enjoyed going out and about to different places, lovely beach walks and heathland too. The village of Peasenhall is delightful with a few good shops, notably Emmetts the deli which sells so many delicious products that you wouldn't expect to find in Suffolk and a few that you would (amazing Suffolk ham) and also the butchers; delicious sausages and if they have the frangipane slices on the countertop when you visit you should definitely buy some of them!! We had two really good meals at the Whitehorse pub - the food there is a cut above what you'd normally expect at a pub and excellent service too.We really enjoyed our time hope to come back again sometime.

This was the holiday that never happened. After a sudden family death we lost our holiday earlier on in the summer. Thatâs life (and death) so we found ourself in this perfect part of the country for a week, somewhere Iâd always meant to visit. We were not disappointed either with this lovely part of Suffolk, or with the property on the whole. Visits to the obvious places were highly enjoyable despite average weather. For music lovers a guided tour around Benjamin Brittens house is a must. Aldeburgh is lovely, Southwold in my view even better. We would like to return, and would love to go to Snow Barn again as itâs location gives even these village dwellers absolute peace, when we hadnât realised how noisy our own village is.

= Mostly good. Great position, quiet, relaxing, property has good solid infrastructure (central heating, shower etc) in an "old fashioned" style. = Some "white goods" showing their age, but work. = you need to like living with and using antique furniture, some of which is not very stable. (We had to ask for replacement dining chairs). = toilet very high (we needed to ask for a step for our feet!) = Shower excellent, but over bath, so you need some agility as no handrails. = I'm not sure the central heating would cope in colder weather, although there is "log type" fire upstairs. = Despite that an enjoyable relaxing stay, although probably overpriced.
