  Thorpeness is a delightful location and this property very close to the sea. As mentioned in other reviews it is close to the country club entrance. The footpath into the club is level with the bedroom window so we had to keep the windows and curtains closed to stop inquisitive children looking in. You are also close to the small club car park, fortunately there weren't any weddings or late night events during our stay. We had a problem that the WIFI didn't work during our stay, the router appears to be in the flat above and we weren't able to reconnect it. The problem wasn't resolved until the last day so we had no WIFI or Smart TV . Unfortunately the owner and Original cottages weren't particularly helpful and the owner refused to consider any compensation and was quite rude on the phone. This caused considerable problems as my daughter needed to access work so we had to spend too much time searching for WIFI locations. When the WIFI did work when the people in the flat above arrived the signal is weak so only accessible in the lounge. Lovely location and spacious house , just very disappointed with that we didnt get any help when there was a problem .

  There are small things but a number of them that need addressing to bring this apartment up to a full rating , light bulbs not working especially in the downstairs hallway , there was no waste bin in either the second bedroom or the bathroom, the toilet seats were loose and both showers were a problem , there was no hairdryer.In the kitchen there was chipped mugs and a bowl and generally a mismatch of pots which wasn't very appealing, we had to wash glasses before we could use them , we feel instruction should have been left for electric appliances as we couldn't get the hob to work. We also found it strange that WiFi could only be accessed upstairs but wasn't told this in the description, there were several areas that were quite dusty like the tv stand which obviously hadn't been touched . There was no welcome pack which when we've stayed in other properties has included some basics like bread, milk etc .

  Beach Cottage is exceptionally spacious, in all areas, comfortable, and in a perfect position overlooking the beach. Facing due East, excellent for the Sun rising in the mornings, and people (and dog) watching. There are numerous "Fish Sheds", along the beach selling a wide variety of fresh & smoked fish, all with-in a very short distance. Best pub " The White Hart" (good real ale - no food - locals pub), not impressed with "Mill Inn" (staff very sloppily dressed, not up to Adnams' usual standard!!) If taking hairdryers etc., good idea to take an extension lead!! Good spacious shower cubicle in double bedroom.

  Another fantastic holiday at Beach Cottage, with its amazing views and very comfortable accommodation. Very helpful to have two large bedrooms, with a good-sized bathroom each, and the layout seems designed to be the most practical and useful for holidays. Great weather this year meant we didn't have to put the central heating on, but in the past have found this cottage easy to heat if we needed to. Very high standard of cleanliness throughout. Perfect location on Crag Path.

  Great location opposite the beach and walkable to the Dolphin pub and Thorpeness Kitchen. The house is really comfortable for 2 adults and 2 teenagers plus a Labrador! It was a bit cold over Easter but the heaters did the job keeping the property warm, and the sun streams through the windows to the sea views. Kitchen was well equipped and appliances easy to use, beds are comfy & the shower nice & hot. We had a lovely long weekend and would certainly stay again.
