What our customers say about their holidays
Christina - Verified booking
My father, husband and I spent a wonderful week staying in this holiday cottage on the farm and none of us wanted to leave I can tell you.
Joy & Rod are both such lovely, friendly and kind people and honestly cannot do enough for you. The cottages is so well equipped you need not take hardly anything with you at all which is brilliant. The beds are extremely comfortable and the whole layout of the place is lovely, spacious and so clean. We walked in and were shown around by Joy, who made sure we knew exactly where everything was and how it worked. The Welcome goodybag was such a lovely touch and a really nice start to our first evening there. We thoroughly enjoyed the fresh chicken eggs from their chickens with our morning breakfasts and evening omelettes. We were also privileged enough to try some duck eggs as well, which were just as lovely. Rod kindly introduced us to his animals which was one big plus of staying on a farm, seeing the baby calves and lambs as well as the ducks, chickens and friendly farm cats, which will welcome you at the back door each morning. Having the hot tub was so nice after you had been out for a day trip or a long walk. We would just sit back and relax our muscles which was a lovely end to each day. The underfloor heating that warms the whole place is really good, we were warm and snug the whole week we there and it was lovely under foot too. There are so many things about this property which are lovely, the quality of furniture, extremely well equipped kitchen and attention to detail right through is brilliant. There are many places to see around the area but I would recommend:- -Sculptureheaven, a really lovely little place to visit and their cakes and cordials are wonderful. -Cenarth falls just round the corner, you can enjoy a lunch & drink in the pub opposite or a nice ice cream from the little gift shop, while taking a walk down the side of the river listening to the water rumbling over the stones. -Cardigan coastal farm park is a great place to visit if you have children to see the farm animals but even for us, just to enjoy the coastal walk above and see the Seals bobbing their heads up about the water and if you are lucky, a dolphin too. -Visit Caws Cenarth cheese farm and watch through windows into the factory as they make the cheese, separating the curds and whey and then down by hand putting the cards into the cheese moulds. Then walk across to the shop for some tastings, you can't help come away with bags of cheese, it's lovely. -The National Wool Museum just around the corner is quite interesting as well and worth a visit. We also visited a Goldmine, a Waterfall and a Coal mine, which were further afield but all really good too.

This cottage is oh so cute.
5 minutes walk from the pebble beach, found a different footpath to the beach everyday. Ideally situated to explore Aberystwyth to New Quay. Was able to park a skoda roomster at the opening to the 'drive' to unload and pack. If you park carefully there is room for other cars to pass. However, it was easier to park up on the main street, barely 2 minutes walk away - absolutely no problem. Very informative welcome folder - perhaps this could be left on table, had to search for it on the bookshelf. The cottage was warm and cosy, kitchen well equipped. Lovely powerful electric shower. Cotton bed linen and towels lovely and fresh. King size bed a bit too firm for us - rectified by putting spare duvets under the sheet. Perhaps a topper? If you have mobility problems then not the place for you - small set of wooden spiral stairs to negotiate - I managed with dodgy knees using handrails provided. Spiral stairs need to be negotiated carefully anyway! If over 5Ft 10 be prepared to stoop through doorway. Upstairs original wooden floors are delightfully wonky - it is over 200 years old after all!! Garden a little unkempt but dogs loved it and I was secure in the fact that they couldn't escape which was more important for me. A few gaps by the back gate which a smaller dog (miniature yorkie, chihuahua size) might escape. Garden delightfully sunny. We had a whole week of welcome sunshine. Kites circle overhead. Village Premier stores provides necessities - 5 minutes walk. Llanchearon National Trust about 15 minute drive is worth a visit for riverside walks and Rocky Road Brownies. All in all super quiet location, quaint, cosy cottage, dog safe garden. The best sunsets on the beach. Easy travelling to visit places (beware 20 mph limit in towns and villages). We enjoyed our stay and would book again if we wanted to explore that coastline again. Thank you.

Absolutely fantastic stay at this cottage.
The cottage was perfect for us as a family and had everything we needed. The cottage was on a working farm and the owners were right next door. They met us on arrival and and talked us through everything. The cottage was absolutely spotless. Location wise it is a 20 minute drive to the nearest beach (Aberporth). Other beaches like tresaith, Poppit sands or llangranog are a few minutes further away. Being woken up to the sound of cows in the morning is such fun and our dog loved being on a working farm. The dog was-able to use the fields to go circa walk and to do her business when the cows were not around. What really makes this cottage special are the little touches left by the owners on arrival. I do not have anything negative to say as there really are no negatives. The hot tub rounds things off after a busy day out and about. I really recommend this cottage. Believe me you wonât be disappointed.

Fantastic little cottage, with the pebble beach being only minutes away.
Some say the bed is too firm but it was perfect for us and we had fantastic sleep, walking up with no aches or pains. It's an old cottage and as such if you have mobility issues or are taller than 6 foot you may struggle as the ceilings are low and the staircase small and compact. Everything was clean and dust free (except a couple of baking trays left in the oven by previous renter but it wasn't a problem) it was so nice to have a fully enclosed garden so that I didn't have to worry about the dogs being outside on their own too. Parking isn't available next to the cottage but there was plenty of parking on the main street once we had offloaded our luggage. If I was to make any complaint it would be that the sofa and chair in the living room isn't very comfortable and unless you sit bolt upright you constantly feel like you are going to fall off the front of it. Otherwise it was a lovely weekend spent here.

Wow! What a find!
The cottage is much larger than it appears in the photos, and beautifully presented inside and out and spotlessly clean. We were very lucky with the weather over the bank holiday weekend, we brought our portable bbq with us and had dinner each evening outside in the lovely garden, which the sun didn't appear to leave all day! The hot tub is huge, and was very much enjoyed. The owners have obviously put a lot of thought and love into making the place the perfect spot to chill out and enjoy the surroundings of the beautiful Welsh countryside. There is even a patio heater for chillier evenings if you want to enjoy more time outdoors. We drove out to Poppit sands (about 25mins), where our pooch enjoyed exploring the sand dunes, and to Cenarth Falls (12 mins) for a riverside and woodland walk, and a little splash about in the shallow waters beside the bridge. Just perfect, we cannot wait to return â¤ï¸
