What our customers say about their holidays
Adrian - Verified booking
On first arrival we found the property pleasant.
Instructions left were great! and the board games were a great addition! The property heated fast and the water was constantly hot we found that all rooms were ample size for a family of four and a dog. The kitchen is big enough for 2 of you to operate in there. Dishwasher, washing machine and showers were great, the only issue in the shower with the bath is if you are 5ft 10 plus you may struggle with the large shower head due to height restriction. The property is in a great location in terms of shops, petrol stations etc. Also travelling to places like wells by the sea and cromer were within a 30 to 40 min drive which was great! The downside to the property was on first arrival and leaving was the parking to unload and load, you have to the option of parking on the road however this is a busy road where cars come past pretty fast as do lorries, so not the safest place to be able to do this. Lots of plus points to this property to be honest also found it be modern inside. The cons to the property was that it was only surface clean which is a real shame, when attempting to use the beko hoover it had no suction and would run out of battery in about 60 seconds so we used the broom but could not find a dustpan? The mattresses in both rooms were terrible way too soft and I have a bruise on my hip where a spring had dug into my leg not great for sleeping over the 3 nights as well as being next to a busy road not a great combination. The main bin was full so when attempting to put our rubbish in the this was difficult as well as extremely smelly. Also no clothes line to hang out clothes? The main light in the main bedroom also flickers like crazy. If you could sort all the above cons out above you would have a near perfect property to stay In, I feel with the main road the property owner would benefit from having better quality windows to have a lesser nosie. The stay overall was pleasant and found that Norfolk was a fantastic part of England.

This is the second time we have stayed at Far Barn, previous visit was 3 years ago.
This is the main reason we decided to book again. Itâs a beautiful place, very cosy & comfy, light & airy & has everything you need for a happy holiday. It was cleaner than last time, which was a bonus, as we did have a few issues with the cleanliness after Covid. Pleased to see that they have sorted that problem out. Itâs a lovely part of the country to visit, plenty to do & the dogs love the barn & the garden. The neighbours are very friendly & helpful, one of them even gave us some duck food, as none had been left this time. We all adore feeding the ducks, thatâs one of the attractions for us, they even eat out of your hand, itâs really fun & the dogs love watching their hilarious antics. The beds are very comfy, the weather was a bit cold so we had to put the heating on, but it soon warmed up. Our daughter & her husband stayed for the weekend as well & were taken up in the magic of this converted barn. We usually rent a detached property so we don't have any noise from the neighbours, this is attached at one side to a very lovely couple & because the wall between the property is so thick, you donât hear a thing. Would recommend this to anyone & everyone, if you want a holiday home thatâs safe for the children & as in our case the dogs, then this is the place for you, youâll love it. Very happy customer, Thank you. We will be back!!

This is a beautiful barn conversion, very tastefully done to a high standard.
Itâs a very spacious, well thought out conversion with some nice little touches to make it feel like home. Certain pieces of furniture are looking a bit âtiredâ, probably only to be expected when you have so many different guests staying. For example the dining chair coverings have all been chewed by a dog I presume?? However, the cleanliness is certainly not up to standard. It isnât even the standard you would expect pre COVID, let alone now when it is meant to be super clean!! The oven was filthy, the freezer was dirty, there was dust & muck everywhere, under all the units, behind the TV, even old dog treats covered in hair under the unit in the bunk bedroom. The beams in the room havenât been cleaned for months, not just weeks, the dust up there glistens like silver itâs so thick. This property should have been deep cleaned before anyone was even allowed to stay. I left a note for the cleaner & have taken photos for proof. Beautiful place to stay, great fun feeding the ducks every day & watching the rabbits playing outside. The garden is completely enclosed so is safe for children or dogs.

What can I say about Far Barn.
....upon entering the driveway we were greeted by a well maintained group of barn conversions and cottages which surround a beautiful pond full of comical ducks! Far Barn welcomed us with a delightfully enclosed garden (perfect for our dog). Once we stepped inside we we greeted with a lovely welcome pack. The Barn itself is converted to a high standard and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The beds are comfortable, although we would have preferred a king size bed. Unfortunately, the playstation does not work which was disappointing for our boys. The shower is good and there was enough hot water for all 4 of to shower. We did not use the bath, so cannot comment on that. The kitchen is well equipped, with a large fridge freezer and washing machine. The farm shop across the main road is excellent, we can also recommended the Aviator pub which is a 10 minute walk away. There is not much else within walking distance but if you're happy to drive there are lots of beaches and villages to explore that are only a short drive away. All in all we would recommended this property.

Such a beautiful cottage in an idyllic setting.
The cottage had everything we needed with extra perks, such as a lovely welcome pack, starter pack of sachets of tea, coffee, dishwasher tablet, washing up sponges, tea towels. I had brought my own but it was a nice touch. Hairdryer, logs and kindling for the log burner and even food for the ducks! We restored the wood and duck food for the next guests. The cottage is about 15 minutes drive from Wells and it was ideal for dog walking. Weâd get in the car, park up and have the most beautiful walks on the beach. We did this every morning and then come âhomeâ for coffee and plan our day. Sandringham is only 20 minutes drive and is such a beautiful estate. Again, dog friendly walks. Even the restaurant will accept dogs. For us it was about unwinding and relaxing. We would go out each morning, maybe have a spot of lunch out and then come back mid to late afternoon, put some logs on the wood burner, play a few games and watch a film. Order a takeaway or rustle up something and unwind. Just beautiful. We would definitely return. Thank you so much the the use of this beautiful cottage
