  The cottage is well appointed, comfortable and in a quiet location. We enjoyed our week very much. We had lovely beach walks from the harbour side (St Aidans) and from the golf course (Kind Street). Longstone Hotel does good food and is literally round the corner. It was very busy when we went (Monday night) and they were having to turn people away. Every where was pretty busy tough. We also ate at Bambrugh Castle Inn down at the harbour which was busy but good. It was half an hour drive to Warkworth for lunch at The Masons Arms, the steak pie was brilliant. The take out places in Seahouses were great. We had he Rolling Pig hog roast roll and the Spitting Fathers Yorkshire wraps, which was delicious and filling. The Farne Island tour by Serenity cruise was great.

  We arrived on Friday evening after a quick step Neptunes ‘Chippy tea’ we immediately felt at home. The hamper was lovely and the scones and doggy hamper was a nice touch. Longstone Cottage had everything we needed and a well equipped kitchen. We found it very cosy and tastefully decorated. It was well located for our day trips, we walked to Bamburgh, drove to Alnwick, Craster and Holy Island. We took advantage of the dog friendly areas at The Bamburgh Castle Inn and The Longstone House Hotel. We hadn’t been to Northumberland before but we are already planning our next trip using Coquet Cottages. Thank you.

  Coquet Cottages is the best holiday lettings company we have ever used. Your communications were excellent, the website is great and the guidebook app was absolutely brilliant – saved us having to search around for manuals, places to eat and visit etc. We’d definitely use Coquet Cottages if we were considering a holiday in this area again. Thank you. Longstone Cottage is a lovely, welcoming, and comfortable cottage in a great location. Everything was very clean and the welcome basket we received was very lovely. We really liked the apple juice and raspberry jam. The cottage was just the right size for us.

  Another fantastic holiday cottage from Coquet Cottages! It was a great base for exploring the area and a short walk away from the beach. Holy Island is worth a visit as is Bamburgh. We only managed to eat out once, due to it being high season but we enjoyed the meal at The Bamburgh Castle Inn. Swallows Fish is also worth a trip is you are a seafood lover and enjoy cooking. Smoked salmon and crab were the best we’ve ever tasted. Everything you need for a relaxing holiday, has been provided in this cottage. The welcome hamper was also a lovely touch.

  Another fabulous trip to Northumberland. It has been seven years since we last visited . The weather has been amazing for the majority of the week. We have made the most of it, with walks on various beaches every day. It was great to revisit some old haunts aswell as discover some new. Our highlight was probably the walk from Craster to Seahouses via Dunstanburgh Castle. There is so much to see and do. The cottage was great, really quiet and all the essentials. The welcome hamper was the best we have ever had.
