  The cottage is fantastic and perfect for our group of 6-8.

  All the rooms are spacious and comfortable and the location is perfect for Northumberland. The kitchen was our main area for gatherings with a huge table. The lounge was spacious but also had a cosy feel. The bedrooms were lovely and with additional storage on the landing which is a great use of space. Our constructive criticism would be that the showers in the en suites need attention. They are temperamental with both switching off at times, although we had been forewarned. As with previous comments, a must in the kitchen is a larger or additional toaster. 2 slices at a time is just not sufficient for the house size. An air fryer may also be an option as the aga style cooker is not for everyone due to the time taken to heat up. We would also recommend new pillows AND pillow protectors and possibly a new mattress on the single bed closest to the door. Also for information, each bin is collected fortnightly on Mondays. We put the black one out on Sunday night but it was full to the brim when we arrived as was the recycling one so maybe extra black bags to allow for this? However, and we stress this. These issues are minor compared to the benefits of this beautiful cottage and we would return to this property the next time we visit this area.

  A very cosy little flat that was ideally placed close to the railway station for my arrival and only a short walk from the centre of town.

  Although the metal stairway up to the flat was a bit of a trial for moving a heavy suitcase I was clearly aware of this before I booked. Inside, everything was as described with the addition of a little welcome basket of goodies. As we did have a few days when the weather was a bit cool it was nice to be able to turn on the heating to warm us up. If the weather had been worse there were plenty of books and games available to distract you whist you had to remain indoors. The only confusion arose when trying to work out the day for putting out rubbish for collection. A chart on the wall of the kitchen says that the day is Tuesday and then highlights all the Wednesdays. The welcome book mentions the need to put the rubbish bin out for the collection but did not say where to put it. Happily one of the very helpful neighbours sorted this all out for me, but it might be worthwhile clearing this up in the information pack. All in all a very nice stay, many thanks.

  The house was in a quiet location, near to the beach and was very well equipped. The extras, including soap, washing up liquid etc were useful, especially when only staying for five days. The ‘human’ welcome pack was a very nice touch, and our labradoodle loved her ‘doggy’ welcome pack especially the treats & tennis ball. There were plenty of places nearby to visit, including Seahouses, Holy Island, Bamburgh, with beautiful beaches and scenery to see. Bamburgh beach & dunes are well worth a visit, especially for the dog to play in the dunes. We found a good choice of cafes and restaurants, in the places we visited; The Copper Kettle in Bamburgh & Limoncello restaurant in Berwick, Pilgrims Coffee House & Roastery on Holy Island, were all very nice & dog friendly, we also enjoyed a nice Chinese from the Royal Garden in Berwick. We will definitely return to this house and explore the area further.

  Totally perfect in every way.

  Sea Snug is an amazing holiday flat with the best views. To the front is the Sea and to the rear the railway (a dream place for beach and train fans). Lovely to hear the sea when you wake up and the amazing sunrises (and dolphins). You can hardly hear the trains but brilliant view of them. Comfortable and warm cottage, very clean and everything you need. Ange, the owner, has made the place brilliant, and is on hand if needed. The welcome pack was lovely too. Great walks and not far to other super places. Nice village with lovely little shop, and a great Fish and Chip place in Berwick. Enjoyed morning and evening beach walks. Very quiet with just walkers passing by on the lovely prom. Not sure if the prom shops open later in the year, but there was ice cream and chips one evening down there. Will deffo go back there again.

  Fabulous accommodation .

  It’s like living on the beach for a week -the panoramic picture window in the living room onto the seafront is amazing . This first floor flat is beautifully decorated with a nautical theme running effortlessly from room to room . The front bedroom is very calming allowing you to drift off to sleep with the gentle sound of the sea with thick curtains allowing a holiday lie in !The kitchen was very well equipped with all utensils provided to cook . A wonderful base to explore the beautiful Northumbria coast line ( the Coastal path passes right out side the door ) , historical Berwick upon Tweed and a easy train trip to both Edinburgh and Newcastle . Thanks to Angie for the fabulous welcome hamper and the lemon drizzle cake . Sea Snug provided us with a perfect holiday .
