What our customers say about their holidays

A lovely little cottage!
It was just perfect for me and my Jack Russell dog. The bed was so comfortable, the bathroom is big and spacious with a huge walk-in shower area and the kitchen has everything you need. The propertyâs located on the main street through Criccieth but the effective double glazing keeps any traffic noise to a minimum (in fact I hardly noticed any at all). There are double yellow lines immediately outside the cottage BUT you can park on the opposite side of the road for loading and unloading your stuff for up to an hour Mon-Sat between 9am and 5pm (and for as long as you want outside of those hours). The parking pass which is provided for the townâs main car park is so handy, and the car park is literally just 4 minutes walk away through a cut-through alleyway. As someone who likes the freedom of self-catering but without the catering, well itâs just perfect! Just 20 yards to the left is Spice Bank Indian restaurant which does takeaways, Allports fish and chip shop is opposite as is the China Palace takeaway, and the Prince of Wales pub is just a bit further down the road - itâs very dog friendly and I ate here two different nights and I can say that the food is EXCELLENT! And if the urge for a quick pint grabs you at any time, the Bryn Hir Arms is right opposite - this pub is also dog friendly, thereâs a large outdoor seating area for in the good weather like which I enjoyed on my stay but it doesnât serve food. For a single traveller or a couple this property is just perfect if youâre looking for a base from which to explore the beautiful LlÅ·n Peninsula but with full facilities (shops, eating places etc) right on hand. I would definitely stay here again the next time I visit the area.

We have just returned from a week at Llawenfan cottage.
The listing was fairly accurate and I am aware everyone's tastes differ. However,we found the cottage wasn't really comfortable for us. I will cover the good points first. The bathroom is nice and large and modern. Plenty of room to put your toiletries. The shower is a large walk in waterfall which is lovely. The bed was large and comfortable. T.V has a good selection of channels and options. The kitchen pans are of exceptional quality. Unfortunately the cottage smells strongly of dog, downstairs when you walk in. The sofa isn't very comfortable, and the velux windows in the kitchen are filthy. There was very little provided upon arrival. Hardly any hand wash left, no welcome pack, two small toilet rolls, no toiletries whatsoever, towels are small and thin. Only two dishwasher tabs for a week's stay. A blanket would be nice for using in colder months when sat downstairs. The pillows are very lumpy. The bathroom window does not open. Property is right opposite the pub on the main road and is very noisy, especially at the weekend. Cottage is also very dark. Parking was fine however, if a little inconvenient for unloading and loading the car. I will be paying more next time for a better equipped stay.

You failed to uphold my complaint despite the validity of it.
The response from the owner was worrying as she was unaware that a description I used about the outside seating area was hers. Apparently her husband met us and we failed to mention our complaint. Totally untrue. They would have investigated if aware despite a lady on reviews highlighting the sane complaints in September and patently have not rectified it My major problem is the parking. In your response denying my request for reimbursement you suggest that I should have left the engine running whilst we unloaded and that you wouldnât expect Parking agents ( what about Police) to mind . Condoning and encouraging law breaking is something your Lawyers might be unhappy with. I am in the process of filling in forms with Barclaycard . I intend to take this matter as far as Iâm able. Needless to say Iâm disappointed with how you have dealt with my complaint and will be in touch with Trust Pilot and other interested parties in due course. Richard Crompton

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Nook.
It was very clean, comfortable and generally well equipped. It was delightfully close to the seafront providing some lovely views. Great having the on-site parking too. The kitchen had an amazing, modern oven - we were very grateful for the comprehensive instruction manual. We shied away from trying the Ninja air fryer though. A few small points: A kitchen roll would have been useful. The entrance door took us a few seconds to figure out how to engage the lock - you need to fully lift the handle before turning the key or the knob on the inside. The bin use instructions are on the inside of the lids so found them after opening the bins. Helpful as everywhere seems to have different recycling guidelines. The duvet and some of the cushions have feather fillings - very soft and comfortable but we brought our own duvet as I react badly to feathers. Overall, a terrific place for two people to stay and we would certainly consider staying there again.

We had a lovely week at Morfin, and thought the house was so charming and welcoming.
The living room is particularly attractive and cosy, and all the bedrooms are very comfortable with good quality mattresses. The top room has magnificent views over sea and mountains, and is fitted out to a wonderfully high spec, including its wet room ensuite. The kitchen is well equipped and cheerful. As a dog owner I did wonder before the holiday where I could find a grassy place for my dog, but was happy to find a grassy alleyway at the end of the garden which my dog was happy to use. The house is ideally located for getting to the beach and the castle, and there was a really good vegan cafe just a few steps away, plus an excellent fish and chip shop. It's well situated too for visiting the Lleyn Peninsula, Snowdonia and the Rhinogs. We would love to return. The house has such a lovely welcoming feel!
