  We found the house to be very spacious, lovely and clean and everything you could possibly need is provided.

  The welcome pack was very much appreciated and a really nice touch. It’s a lovely quiet area and has a relaxing feel. The beds are extremely comfortable. Nice spacious bedrooms with wonderful views. The whole house is decorated very nicely and the conservatory is a lovely space to relax. We cooked a few times and found the oven easy to use and everything in good, clean working order. Nice big fridge/freezer. The kitchen has an abundance of space and even has things like cooking oil, spices, coffee, tea, sugar etc which was very helpful. We put the heating on just once and everything worked perfectly. There’s lots of places close by to visit and the town is walking distance. A very nice house. We did find the sofa in the lounge quite uncomfortable. There’s no head support unless you have lots of cushions propped up. The TV is also quite small. We would watch TV/films in the evening but it wasn’t quite as good on a small screen. The garden, unfortunately was a big letdown for us….We had a small terrier dog with us and on the first day, he walked easily straight through the garden railings into the weeds on the other side. Obviously a dog isn’t to know that there’s a sheer drop over the cliff. Thankfully he came back, but it was a gut wrenching experience that happened twice. We had to find anything we could to block the bottom half of the whole garden fence, using an old table, fold up chairs, logs etc, but there were still big gaps, so every time we were in the garden which was almost every day due to the nice weather, one of us had to keep watch. We couldn’t leave him unattended and relax. Most of the patio paving also needs attention. If the bottom half of the whole garden fence had some chicken wire running along it, then it would have been a perfectly lovely holiday and I would more than happily return. If you haven’t got a small dog with you, then this would be a non issue and I would definitely without a doubt recommend this lovely house to anyone else.

  We had a great stay, the house was so well equipped that I don't think the listing does it justice.

  As someone travelling with 2 small children there was everything I could possibly need from a travel cot, with an actual proper mattress, a non-slip mat for the bath, a few toys, highchair and even some kids cups and cutlery. These little things make a huge difference when you travel with kids and I just think that anyone reading this review that is thinking of booking this with small children - it is really brilliantly set up. Other than that there really is everything you think you might need - plenty of everything - the kitchen was so well equipped I could have made a birthday cake if I had wanted to! The view is amazing - and I did read a few of the snidy comments left on the review page before we left and felt they were so unfounded - we really appreciated everything - the house was so clean and peaceful. I couldn't recommend it highly enough.

  What a fantastic holiday property.

  We stayed over Xmas 2023 and there is every facility you could want. Quite apart from the location, on the cliff top above the promenade right on the sea with essentially unbroken sea views from the conservatory and two back bedrooms, the house itself is wonderful. The owners could not have been more helpful, we had some concerns over some of the more recent feedback but they gave detailed reassurance of fixes and changes that had been made including replacing the patio doors and central heating controls. A vast kitchen fully stocked with every gadget and tool you could need, a huge living/dining room with a wonderful log burner, and four very comfortable bedrooms, that's without even mentioning the wonderful welcome pack and beautiful Christmas tree. Thank you so much, Christmas was a triumph.

  This was great accommodation in a brilliant position in Herne Bay.

  The owners provided all the basic things you need to get you off to a great start,bread, milk,marge,jam and marmalade, tea and coffee and cereal,and after the horrendous trip down there was also a very welcoming bottle of wine. The accommodation was spotless, the bed was really comfortable there were also twin beds in the second bedroom. Separate toilet with basin as well as a good shower room also with toilet and basin. Comfortable furniture in lounge/dining room made it easy to relax of an evening. Very dog friendly with an enclosed escape proof wrap round patio, with a covered BBQ area to the rear. Many thanks to the friendly and helpful owners . If you are going to Herne Bay you must give Barons Mews a try.

  Baron Mews was comfortable, spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully furnished.

  It is in an excellent location on the edge of Herne Bay. On one side it is a short walk to shops and the high street, and the other way open greenery and beautiful walking routes begin, and its close to the beach. The cottage is easily accessible, all on the ground level, with a walk-in shower in the shower room. A warm welcome awaited us, with tea bags, coffee, milk, dog biscuits, and even a few luxurious touches. The owners, who live nearby, are welcoming and available if needed, yet never intrusive. A lovely place for a holiday, whether you’re looking to relax or be active.
