  This is an excellent holiday let. While the furniture style is a little dated, the property was very clean and comfortable. The balcony is an excellent feature with great views across the River Dart to Warfleet and out towards Dartmouth Castle and the sea. It gets the sun from morning to late evening in the spring and summer months, a great place for breakfast or a sundowner. The huge picture window also brings light in on a dull or wet day. There's lots of steep slopes and steps to access the property, so it would be a challenge for anyone with limited mobility and I wouldn't bother trying to get your car up the steep driveway, so be prepared to carry your bags to and from the car wherever you park, but this wasn't an issue for us. Beacon Road is especially narrow, so larger cars might struggle to get through, but pull your wing mirrors in and take it steady and most cars will get through. Given we were walking the coastal paths, the access to the property was just another slope to add to the beginning and end of the day. The property is a couple of minutes walk away from all the excellent amenities in Kingswear, just a short walk to the Lower Ferry, the railway station, the Ship Inn and the Petit Pantry and just a little further walk to the excellent convenience store. All in all an excellent property and we will definitely be back.

  Lovely views , and nice walks around Kingswear <br />Modern apartment with large balcony and lovely views across to Dartmouth , the main bedroom has a large comfortable bed with plenty of storage, I had to use a sleeping mask as far too much light coming through from early morning, due to the gaps around the curtains . The second bedroom is nicely furnished , however 2 small single beds and a grim view of a wall, damp at the back is apparent , the kitchen is well supplied and secure parking was a plus an easy walk down hill to the ferry Across to Dartmouth ,although a gentle climb back up the hill . We felt the apartment was value for money , but attention to cleaning needs to be done, we found the back of the sink in the on suite very grubby and quite off putting, along with the remains of a very used piece of a soap bar left out was definitely no star. On a plus the welcoming gifts was a delight , I would return to this apartment and recommend once they get the central heating fixed we did report this during our stay, and moving an electric heater from one room to another was uncomfortable . I found Blue River cottages very helpful and a delight to deal with .

  Genista is a fabulous, spacious house set over 3 floors, with outside space further down. Gorgeous views over the river and towards Dartmouth and it’s stunning naval college. It was great to watch the steam train from one of the many balconies. Very comfortable beds, with John Lewis bedding. Fluffy towels, soft water area. For fish lovers, Brixham fish market is a must and great value for money. There is also a great butchers in Dartmouth, and a handy M and S food hall. Small convenience stall 5 min walk. Steam Packet pub - 5 minutes down the hill, great atmosphere and fabulous food. Great place for a lovely holiday. Thank you Paul and Alison.

  We had a wonderful stay at Omega House, it is very comfortable and homely. The kitchen is extremely well equipped making it easy to prepare and enjoy family meals. The views are spectacular and we really enjoyed being able watch the ever changing comings and goings on the river dart from the floor to ceiling windows. A short walk to the ferry from Kingswear to Dartmouth meant that we didn't need to take the car at all once we were there. I would highly recommend Omega House for its relative peace and tranquility being situated in Kingswear with the hustle and bustle of Dartmouth only being a few minutes away. The best of both worlds!

  We had a wonderful week at Emily’s, it’s a lovely modern cottage well-equipped and set in a stunning location with amazing views over Dartmouth. There are several steps with a hand rail down to the cottage so it may not suit someone with mobility difficulties. Sitting on the balcony watching the boats and steam train was very relaxing. It’s really handy having a parking space and you can easily go over to Dartmouth on the ferry as a foot passenger or there the steam train station and a bus stop nearby too. There are walks and the coastal path close by, we had a great week in this beautiful part of Devon.
