What our customers say about their holidays

We had a wonderful stay at Clearwater and would highly recommend.
It was spotlessly clean and the little 'welcome pack' such as tea, coffee, milk, biscuits etc was a lovely surprise. Loved the high quality toiletries (White Company fan here!) and Lola our four legged friend was particularly impressed with her treats too. My only suggestion might be to explain in your listing that it is quite a steep walk into the town and beaches. It was not an issue for us at all as we are used to hill walking, our 16 year old pup struggled a bit towards the end of the week but as she is small we could carry her as needed. Less able guests or those with bigger, older dogs may find it difficult. However I must stress that this was no bother to us in any way and at least it worked off all the lovely food and wine we consumed!!! Mentioning the brand of coffee machine in the listing would also be useful as we would have taken some pods with us (Tassimo for those reading the reviews!) - there was only one type of pod available in local supermarkets. Thank you for such a lovely stay, we will be back!

This is a lovely little cottage, ideal for 2 people and overlooks the harbour. The cottage provided us with everything we needed. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a washing machine if needed. The back courtyard is private and a nice place to sit on an evening. The town and harbour is about 10 minute walk down a steep hill, but there is a bus that runs from the leisure centre which is about 100m from the front door. The buses leave and return every 10 minutes or so, so its easy for the less mobile to get to the harbour and beach. We had a few issues with parking as the space does not allow room for a larger car and I believe the cottage description has been amended to reflect this. We bought a weekly ticket for the leisure centre car park instead. Parking in st Ives is difficult unless your're there very early, so I would recommend using the bus as opposed to trying to drive through the extremely busy town. Overall we had a fab holiday, using Farr cottage as a base.

Apartment was fantastic, super clean and tidy with plenty of towels, lovely crisp bedding and the perfect space for a family of 4. The living room was open plan and spacious with 2 large sofas and the most fantastic view over Carbis Bay. We spent every morning sitting on the fantastic windows seats with a cup of coffee staring out at the most amazing view!! The welcome gift was a lovely surprise with local Cornish produce and a bottle of bubbles in the fridge too - perfect start to our fantastic stay! The location is great too - just a short walk to the Beach and the train station which take you direct to St Ives. Or alternatively you can take a lovely coastal walk to St Ives direct from the apartment - which we did most days. Everything we needed was in the apartment, communication regarding checking in and out was straight forward so we had no need to contact the host during our stay. Thank you Cornwall Hideaway for a seamless holiday in the most fanatic location.

Sadly this lovely propertyâs heating was not on, on our arrival at 18.
00 in Dec! Also no lamp working in twin room. Tried putting heating on, but would not work. After phone many calls two different people arrived but was unable to fix it Saturday. Eventually a lovely guy came in Sunday evening and said he could only fix it for the evening only, as there was a problem with it. So throughout the week we had hot water, no heating, then when the heating was fixed, the next day we had no hot water.!!! In the family bathroom the bath was extremely slippery, as my wife is disabled, she could not get out of the bath. No rubber mat or hand rail to get out. She had to stay there until I came back. Which was frightening for her. Itâs a fabulous property, wonderful location and was perfect on the ground floor as my wife has difficulty walking. Itâs a shame these issues was not dealt with BEFORE our arrival, then it would of been a 5 star stay as expected and as your website promises.

Had an amazing week stay at 8 Fernhill. Apartment was fabulous everything you need and more and all so beautifully presented and kitted out. Used the hamper and picnic chairs every day as we explored the coast and stunning beaches. Great selection of books & DVDs for the odd cosy night in. Well worth a visit down to Carbis Bay estates, they have amazing cocktail bar with stunning views Ugly Butterfly and The Orangery are stunning restaurants , well worth a visit. So many places to visit and explore, the owners keep a good supply of brochures (in the sideboard.) Our highlights have been a boat trip from St Ives to Seal Island, Minack Theatre and a tour around St Michaels Mount but so many more. Take a picnic and take the coastal road to Lands End, loads of fabulous villages and coastal walks to do. A real home from home with a little extra luxury laid on. Cant wait to come back and stay again.
