The beach here consists of sand and pebble, and although it's not the best for sandcastles it still offers an enjoyable day out for the family. There are numerous other beaches along this stretch of the coast if you want some other options. Coverack's beach is especially appealing to scuba divers due to the number of shipwrecks due to the Manacles just off the coast.
