  The location is fabulous, perfect setting on the river, the owners are lovely.

  However, the hut itself could do with a really good clean, I had to clean the cupboards before I put our food in there, whilst it wasn't 'dirty' as such there certainly could have been an improvement on the cleanliness, that said the bedding & towels were spotless. The bed & sofa take over the inside & I think there could be better use/arrangement of the furniture inside, also, the bed itself is not very comfortable, it was ok for x2 nights. It's basically a mini caravan with a double bed & large sofa, it has got a chemical loo inside (which you have to empty yourself), there is a toilet & shower block near by, if you want a shower ensure you take 20p & £1 coins (£1 is approx. 2.5 minutes) I would imagine, in the height of summer (we stayed early November), with the great decking area over-looking the river, it would be lovely chilling out there outside after a lovely walk around the Welsh countryside..

  Onnen is a lovely looking property in a great location for exploring the area around Aberystwyth which has forests, beaches, dunes and hills. With less light pollution you can see the stars really well at night too. Pros include the setting and a high spec property. Cons were small niggles really; the pod coffee machine did not work, there was no ice tray, drainer or brush for washing up (though there is a dishwasher anyway) and there is no drawer storage in the bedrooms, just hanging space. Also, the hot tub temp was locked at 37 degrees which wasn't quite optimal for me. We would really have appreciated a shade on the bedroom skylights also. Too bright in the early morning!

  Beautiful cottage, everything we could need, really well appointed, comfortable and the perfect location. It was our dog Joey’s first holiday, he had such fun on the most amazing, spectacular, quiet, dog friendly local beaches or the local bluebell woods and streams. The cottage was ideal for him, with enclosed garden and even his own little doggy spa to wash the beach back off him. Every detail has been thought of. The welcome gifts for us and him were very thoughtful and made us all feel so welcome! The organic milk was addictive and lovely for washing down our Easter treats we’d been left. We will be back for sure!

  This site is a little gem, facilities and shepherds hut are great.

  However they are completely let down by the cleanliness, the hut had clean bedding which was good.The hut and equipment had not been cleaned at all after the previous people, we did not expect to start cleaning at the beginning of our holiday but we did. The site facilities were good, except they were never cleaned all week, the mop and cleaning cloths were disgusting in the toilets/showers. We are not complainers and do not usually leave reviews, but on this occasion feel we have to say something. If this sites cleaning was totally improved, this site would get five stars. Owners very friendly and helpful.

  Well what can I say? What an amazing Easter break! The accommodation is exceptional, every detail has been well thought of and we settled in from the moment we arrived. Our dogs and kids loved the spacious garden and the hot tub was amazing. Well done to Leanne and family. We loved it so much that we stopped two extra nights! The area is beautiful, watching the sunset at Borth is special. The vale of Rheidol Railway is brilliant. Aberystwyth is a lovely Victorian town and worth exploring it's streets. Don't miss the Red Kite feeding at Bwlch Nant yr Arian. Will definitely return here, 10/10.
