  We are repeat Coquet Cottages customers and we have always had a great holiday experience. This time we stayed at Swansdown in Amble. It is in the Coble Quay development which is very smart and has a dedicated parking space. Derek, the owner, kindly contacted us to advise that Swansdown would be available earlier than the 6pm arrival stated in the information sheet. The views from the balcony looking across the Marina to Warkworth Castle are superb. We had one rainy day, and I simply enjoyed looking out of the floor to ceiling windows, for quite some time. Swansdown permits one dog which was just what we needed. We also took advantage of the dog sitting service in order to visit a local restaurant that did not allow dogs. It was worth it as the food served at Sea and Soil is fab. Swansdown is very modern and high spec. The usual touches were very welcome; a nice bottle of wine, flowers, doggie treats as well as delicious scones and nice bread. Milk and butter are also provided. I understand there are beach chairs etc, in a storage area but we did not investigate these.

  Thank you for a wonderful week staying in your excellent apartment. We keep saying we wish we were back there looking out on that fabulous view from the lounge window. The weather may not have been brilliant but it did not stop us from getting out and about. We did see the Christmas lights switch on in Warkworth (man on hands and knees under the tree putting the plug in!) as well as Santa and his Rotary helpers (I am a Rotarian, and am a few bob lighter now!). We also saw a wonderful TV programme about Warkworth on BBC TV that week and did some enjoyable exploring around the village as a result. We will probably be back next year, but in the meantime we send you our very best wishes for Christmas and the New Year.  [‘Pubs, Ponds and Power – the Story of the Village’ featured Warkworth village and was aired by BBC in November, it’s available on the BBC iPlayer on catch-up nd will be repeated on BBC4 in January.]

  Stayed at The Buttery, Warkworth with another couple. Fantastic accommodation, very clean, well equipped and more than we expected. One of the best welcome packs we have received. The open plan lounge, dining room and kitchen was great for us to enjoy together with no-one in a kitchen cooking on their own! The ‘Secret Garden’ was a lovely suntrap with it’s cosy garden ‘shed’ a great place to enjoy a tipple or two! Great location in centre of the village, close to the pubs, shops, cafe’s and river. First time we have used Coquet Cottages and not disappointed. They were a pleasure to deal with and kept me updated either by phone calls or emails on our holiday. Will certainly use again and recommend.

  We have had a lovely time. Your apartment was beautiful and Dexter happily sat on the balcony watching the world go by. It was his first time to the beach due to being a poorly pup, first with an operation for hip dysplacia meaning he can only use 3 legs to run, and secondly having pancreatitis. The weather remained pretty dry so all was good and we enjoyed a couple of afternoon visits to the little bar by the entrance following trips out. We loved Warkworth and visited the beach both there and at Low Hauxley. We can truly say we have found our new favourite place in the UK. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you.   Absolutely superb Have stayed in many Coquet Properties and this is the very very best. Spotless. Beautifully furnished and equipped -all you could ever need during your stay ! Location perfect. What a view during your stay. Really really appreciated the message from Derek and Colette received before arriving. Perfect welcome basket. Would not change anything and loved the Roses and the Easter Tree. Cannot emphasise enough how superb this property is. Booking with Coquet Cottages is always a joy. Everyone without exception is extremely helpful. Please don’t lose your phone exemplary customer care as your company expands.
