  We stayed in Amble last week at Cobble Quay. The house we had there was called Quay West. It is a fantastic property, with plenty of space and super views of the Marina too. There was a Welcome Pack waiting for us and, to put it simply, it was the best one we have ever received at ANY house we have rented. Everything had been thought of, which made settling in fast and hassle free. Thank you very much to the property owner. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he took us over the house showing us where everything was and how it worked. The house is only 200 yards from the nearest shops and amenities. Radcliffe’s Bistro is literally next to the property and is well worth a visit and not expensive either. Fantastic fixtures and fittings in the house, they were tasteful and high quality. Warm, comfortable beds and there was even a hot tub on the balcony, which was great for sitting in and watching the sun go down at night. You really should take a look at this property if you plan to visit Amble. There is nothing negative to report about this house. There is even a lift to help you get all your baggage up to the second floor. They have thought of everything. We will definitely be back again .We cannot recommend this property highly enough.   This house is in a lovely location and only a short walk to Amble.

  The main selling point is definitely the sea views which are absolutely beautiful and you could sit for hours looking out. The house is a really good size, lovely bedrooms and lots of space. Unfortunately the cleanliness of this house really let it down. A lot of the reviews and even the guest book said it was spotless but we didn't find this. The floor in the sun room had lots of dog hairs, some in clumps, which was really unpleasant especially as my 15 month old was on the floor playing with his toys which were then getting lots of hair on them. There was also a sticky patch on the floor which had a clump of hair stuck to it so clearly hadn't been cleaned. The bath mats in the two bathrooms were mouldy and the downstairs one had lots of hair tangled around it. There were also hairs on the downstairs bathroom floor and in the shower. This is so disappointing as other than that, it would have been really wonderful. I hope this feedback helps you improve the cleanliness for guests in the future. Thank you.

  Although Quay West was so new that it didn’t have a full complement of photographs, we were referred to another of the owner’s apartments to see the quality of accommodation that we could expect at Quay West. We were not disappointed. The apartment was amazing from the view overlooking the marina towards Warkworth Castle to the high quality linen and kitchen appliances. I could happily live there! We loved the attention to detail that included a lemon for a G&T and torches in the bedside drawers. The generous welcome pack contained local preserves, coffee, home made scones and shortbread that was divine! The apartment was far more spacious than the photos suggested, which is always a nice surprise. All three bedrooms were very spacious and very well appointed. The hot tub on the balcony was a great, weather proof way to watch the comings and goings on the marina. It was the perfect place to chill out. We can’t wait to return.

  Good location, great views and good size property that comfortably accommodates 8 guests (we were 6 adults and 2 children) But the house needs a deep clean and needs more attention to detail. This could be a very good holiday property but we were disappointed that the bifold doors to the balcony were broken on our arrival - they would not close properly causing a security issue. A builder then a locksmith were arranged. Despite changing locks so the doors could be closed, the locksmith thought we shouldn’t open them as the problem was more with the doors than the lock. So a holiday without the main standout feature of the property of the balcony, although we still had the view. Disappointed to find when we stripped the beds that there were NO mattress protectors. Although it looked clean enough on arrival, much of the property required a proper clean - fridge, dishwasher drain, underneath furniture, under sofa cushions.

  A wonderful property, good value as it lacked for nothing. It was new, and had excellent views over the marina and was very close to the sea. It also had a Hot tub (which we used each day) and was an additional fun bonus. It was a great holiday. Because we had such good weather, we didn’t use all the facilities such as smart TVs in all bedrooms, but was good to know they were there! We were also impressed when we called into the office in Warkworth and asked for help in locating the burgages we’d seen on a television programme. The young woman was very pleasant and helpful, bringing up an aerial view of Warkworth on TV so we could locate them, also pointing out a useful walks, which we would never have noticed ourselves.
