  The cottage was in an ideal location for driving out to the surrounding villages and towns with Leyburn only 1.5 - 2 miles away for any shopping, eating drinking. It was very spacious enough inside with the lounge having 3 settees for us all to sit on ( 5 people) with also a large dining room and table in the next room with a joining door for the kitchen. The cottage was very warm which we were grateful for after the icy temperatures outside. The bedrooms were also all large enough to move around in comfort and also with a large family bathroom upstairs as well as the en-suite in one of the bedrooms. The small toilet under stairs also came in very handy. The parking at the rear is big enough for 3 cars and is only approximately 15 feet from the back door for unloading all your items,suitcases or shopping. We all enjoyed our stay here with everyone we met being very friendly towards us including the villagers in the local pub "The Cross Keys".

  This is a lovely, warm and cosy cottage with the added bonus of 4 little ponies as the neighbours!

  It was a well equipped kitchen which made it great for enjoying meals together. Our almost 2 year old loved collecting apples from the garden. Outside the kitchen window was an active bird feeder which was calming to watch. There was a very nice welcome package. It's very useful having the bathroom downstairs to supplement the one upstairs. Great location for walks, trips to the North York Moors (we went to Whitby bay and Robins Hood bay - great day trip) whilst being close to the conveniences of North Allerton (Betty's tea rooms there is lovely). We did a trip to Thorp Perrow (arboretum, kids playground, birds of prey and mammal centre) and the Forbidden Corner (absolutely amazing maze, with sculptures and labyrinths - strongly recommended!). The only improvement is that we didn't find a clothes horse we could use indoors so it made a bit tricky to dry clothes after washing them. Thank you for such a lovely stay!

  Webstone House is a gorgeous cottage in a stunning part of Yorkshire.

  The cottage has a lovely homely feel, is well equipped and very well located for getting around North Yorkshire. I spent many a happy moment watching all the different birds, from tiny Robins, stunning Pheasants to the village Peacock wandering down the lane. The Gardens are lovely and the whole place is peaceful, its a real sanctuary wasted if you are planning to just sleep and go - I recommend time is taken in between days out to stay 'home' and enjoy the cottage and amble around in Thimbleby, or walk up to Osmotherly, its all delightful. There is Clay Shooting near by but I didn't find the gunshot sound intrusive and wasn't happening all the time. The Host was friendly and quick to respond to any concerns I had.

  We stayed here at Park View for five nights in early July, and have had a wonderful time. We loved the decor in the cottage, and the amazing garden - perfect for enjoying the beautiful weather we've had here recently.While here, we visited Hackfall, Fountains Abbey, Brimham Rocks as well as Pateley Bridge, Masham and Harrogate - some fantastic days out! Also enjoyed wildlife spotting - a tawny owl landed right on the market cross outside. Incredible! Thanks Alex for being a brilliant host - we've enjoyed our first visit to Widderdale and Kirkby Malzeard and hope to be back one day. Emma and Ollie

  The cottage is amazing giving one a feel of times gone by , with all the modern conveniences .

  The Bedrooms are large and comfortable and the snug and frontroom give plenty of space to relax. As for the garden well the patio part gives ample space , then you have the orchard , both are a sun trap . Placed in the midst of the Moore and Dale's there is plenty to see . Osmotherly's chip shop is well worth a try . Rievaulx Abbey, Herriot museum, Aysgarth falls , Hawes and Wensley creamery are a must . There was when we stayed a fair amount of wildlife , an Owl and stoat visited in the night and on the feeder there was plenty of activity.
