What our customers say about their holidays

Wide angle net pic pics very deceptive.
This is a small one bed ground floor flat with another upstairs. There's shared lawn, lovely fruiting crabapple tree, outside tables and chairs , air dryer, 2 parking spaces, all facing other houses on the "village" estate .Also ample "community" grounds nearby and facitlities that we didn't use (wet November). Flat floors are pleasing "wood", leather comfy furniture and wood cupboards etc., folksy rugs, excellent TV, snuggly bed, pretty linen, easy tiny shower with gorgeous tiles. First rate kitchen. Heating bit problematic: All rads locked at 15degrees, but extra coal effect fire in sitting room fairly powerful. Thanks for diffusing sticks throughout - wood sage and sea salt, lovely. St. Frances is a really charming village with 2 good pubs/restaurants,.surrounded by countryside, with superb 13th century church and pretty cottages.Countless glorious beaches all along coast and coastal path nearby. Only negative thing was 14 days rain, so thank goodness for the 1000 piece jigsaw (almost finished) and little library!. .

Had a great stay here.
The positives far outweigh the negatives. The cottage is well equipped and cosy.Loved all the antiques. The only downside being, after a long day out would of been nice to have a decent shower or bath. This property provides neither.Shower goes from boiling hot to cold. And the bath I doubt me or the Mrs would fit in it.Haha.But it did the job and it got us wet and clean, eventually. Bathroom definitely needs updating.Or just a decent shower or a decent bath. The bed was rock hard as we're the pillows.I didn't mind so much as you get used to it.But we did swap the pillows from the other bed as they were a little softer. On the whole we had, like i said, a great holiday and we were very pleased with the cottage and the host.Thank you for the gifts. And checking in on us to see if we had arrived safely. Kind Regards Phil & Rachel.

If you want complete peace and quiet then this is the place to stay.
Beautiful location and the cottage was very cosy. The views were lovely and our dog loved the enclosed garden to roam around and the mountain behind the cottage. The food in The Golden Lion pub was excellent and plentiful so would highly recommend as well as a lovely atmosphere and friendly welcoming staff. The owner John welcomed us with the wood burner going, a fresh pot of tea and also left some welsh cakes and a bottle of wine. Very knowledgeable man and checked in on us during our stay and provided more logs for the fire. The weather wasnât brilliant but stayed dry, I think visiting in the Spring or Summer would be even better. Thanks for a lovely stay.

We were looking forward to returning to the coach house as we have been several times before and loved the cosy and comfortable surroundings .
But we are extremely disappointed, the main problems being the TV and cooker hob . The hob was very temperamental and worked only occasionally and the fact that there was a hotplate to use it was obvious that they knew about the problem . As for the TV not everyone wants catch-up and netflix, we could not get live TV . The kind gentleman upstairs came to help as his TV was the same as ours but he couldn't get live TV . We were told a maintenance man would come out but no-one came . All in all the first 2 days of our holiday were far from relaxing. We will be booking with Sykes again but it definitely won't be for the coach house.

This place is amazing, we absolutely loved it.
Feels very rural but the village is only a 15 minute walk. Very cute cottage, half way up the mountain which the boys went up & back in about 2 hours. Thereâs everything you need in the cottage. The village has pubs to eat in. The owner John is great, very helpful and a phone call away. Came back every night to logs on the doorstep for the log burner (no extra charge). A very comfy cottage, even our teenagers loved it. Just wish we had stayed longer. Will hopefully visit again.
