  We have just got back from a fabulous week at Siskin.

  Everything we needed (and more!) was in the cottage and we were very comfortable after exploring the surrounding areas during the day. Suzi couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful and the welcome pack was a delight. Everything was very clean and we felt secure in the knowledge that it was all covid safe. Sitting in the garden eating breakfast, watching the mists roll across the hills is a must. The stairs up to the twin room are a bit difficult to navigate so we kept our suitcase and items we wouldn't need at night in the bathroom. Which was fine as the bathroom has ample space to do this. We enjoyed a lovely sunday dinner takeaway from The Brigands Inn, which we would thoroughly recommend. There was a bit of superficial building work going on during our stay, at the neighbouring property, which caused some slight noise. This did not detract from our fabulous stay and Suzi was very apologetic. Our week away at Siskin was a 70th Birthday present and the birthday boy said it was the best birthday he has ever had!   What a lovely place.

  Arrived to find a wonderful welcome pack. Even the dog was treated. We were met by Suzie a lovely lady who let us in then gave us some time to unpack before coming back to tell us about everything then left us alone to enjoy our stay. The cottage is clean, lovely decorated and well kept. There is a folder telling you how everything works along with maps and leaflets of the area and games and DVD's. Kitchen cleaning products are provided along with tea and coffee. Shower gel and hand soap in the bathroom and hair dryer in the bed room. Everyone in the area is very friendly. Rasta made friends with 3 local boarder collies Patch, sketch and flash. If you are a plane enthusiast then you will love it here. They fly directly over the cottage. Or you can take a 5 min drive to the Bwlch. A great location for the mach loop.

  Suzy has set standards for Siskin Cottage against which I will rate all future holiday rentals.

  She meets and greets guests with her lovely smile and the most lavish of 'Welcome Packs' [ a misnomer since I thought that she must have, mistakenly, been told that it was my birthday and the 'goodies' were my presents!] The cottage was splendidly equipped, spotlessly clean, cosy and welcoming. We loved the sunny - or shaded - secluded outside spaces and appreciated the two sets of seating provided for individual choice. Suzy bought a new, lower Tog duvet for my use during my stay, as I commented that I had been uncomfortable during the very warm weather. Thank you so much, Suzy, we had a really relaxing and comfortable 5 days in your lovely cottage. Lynne and Stan

  We absolutely loved the cottage, one of the best we have stayed in.

  It is immaculately presented, as if you are you first guests ever to stay there. Everything has been thought of. The welcome goodies were a lovely touch. Milk, tea, coffee, sugar, bottle of wine, biscuits and a box of chocolates, just yummy. Whilst there is WiFi it is very intermittent, but we found that a bonus. We actually had a very relaxing, chilled out time away from our normal busy lives. The gorgeous courtyard garden was so nice to sit and relax in the evenings. The cottage is on the Mach Loop (one reason we visited) so you may get low flying aircraft through the valley across the garden. Thank you for sharing your beautiful cottage with us.

  Our hosts, Jane and Darren were so helpful, and a lovely couple.

  Cottage is very comfortable and well equipped, the only things we can criticise is the parking (which is a bit of a tight fit)and no dryer, although there was a clothes maid to hang the wet things. Location is great, close to bedgellert, Snowdon, Porthmadog and Caernarfon, the bus stop is a few minutes walk down the road. £6 for a day pass, and you can visit everywhere! The local people around the cottage were lovely. The fisherman's walk is a real must if you like a walk, a bit rocky, but we'll worth the effort. We would definitely visit again.
